Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Hmmmm... thats interesting. Like you said, its hard to feel sorry for a player that actually refused to play for some teams.
But at the SAME time.... the reason he wanted to leave KC was to go to a contender... not JUST to leave KC. So if he felt neither of those were contenders, I actually respect him for not going. I mean, I like that he's not wanting to leave KC for just anyone. The only reason he wants to go is to be on a contending team rather than one that is obviously rebuilding. So leaving to go to a team like Buffalo and Atlanta (although they are better than CHiefs, they aren't really TRUE contenders yet)... would only be a lateral move.
But Peterson pulling out at the last 10 minutes to try and pull a power move with the Packers is bush league, and shows why he hasn't built a good team since Schottenheimer left.
