Chad Pennington is AFC Offensive Player of the week
DAVIE - Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington was named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Sunday's 25-16 win against the Bills.
Pennington completed 22 of 30 passes for 314 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. He compiled a passer rating of 117.9, the fourth time in the past five games he has had a passer rating of 100.0 or greater.
This is the fifth Player of the Week award Pennington has received in his nine-year career, and the first since the opening week of the 2006 season when he was 24 of 33 for 319 yards and threw two touchdowns in a Jets win over the Titans.
Over the past five games Pennington has completed 74.8 percent of his passes and put together a rating of 110.8 in leading the Dolphins to a 3-2 record. He has passed for 1,710 yards, with seven TDs and three interceptions. He has been sacked 11 times.

Dolphins dump first-place Bills Photos For the year, Pennington ranks first in the AFC and second in the NFL with a completion percentage of 69.3, while his rating of 100.5 is second in the conference and tied for fifth in the league.
Pennington is the second Dolphin to receive the accolade this year. Tailback Ronnie Brown was named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week for his five-touchdown performance in a 38-13 win over the Patriots in Sept. 21.Tags: None👍 1
