Looks like he managed to climb the depth chart and became a starter. If that's the case, we will see him in action against the Broncos on day 16.

Do you know how this affects the trade? Didn't we get a sixth for him, but I believe there were conditions that it would improve to a 4th or a 5th or something like that if he cracked the starting line up.

I don't know but I think it is based on if he stays with the Falcons for 2009. For now we get a 7th round pick for Foxworth.

CBS 4 in Denver reports that the Broncos have dealt cornerback Dominique Foxworth to the Atlanta Falcons.

In return, the Broncos will receive a seventh-round pick. If the Falcons re-sign Foxworth this year, the pick upgrades to a sixth-rounder.
Foxworth, a third-round pick in 2005, started 18 games in three seasons. He played mainly as a nickel back last year.

Foxworth was one of the players who took the January 2007 death of Darrent Williams particularly hard, and the simple reality could be that Foxworth needed to move on before he truly could move on.






hopefully we see foxy when playing atlanta... cutler will know his strengths and weakness and be able to exploit them...

Yes, I watched the 1st quarter and Foxworh played great. But you must admit he was horrible here. Maybe our scheme sucks and our defensive coordinator sucks too, but Foxworth could not deflect a pass the whole preseason.

He had 3 today, along with 4 tackles and blanket coverage on another 3 basic throwaways. The Falcons as a team had 13.

I'm starting to think he's a damn good CB, and Denver's system is that much garbage.

G over to the Falcons board. There are utterly laughing at us. Some are saying Foxworth is a better cover corner than Hall is when he was there, and he was damn good a Pro Bowler. One guy commented, "how can arguably the worst defense in the NFL just give this guy away?"
