Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Redskins agreed to terms with CB DeAngelo Hall on a one-year contract. Profootballtalk.com reports the deal is worth $1 million prorated over the rest of the season. Washington has agreed not to franchise tag Hall in 2009.
It's the best possible move for Hall, who will make exactly the base salary he would have as a Raider and can try for a multi-year deal next spring. He will not, however, ever get the kind of money Oakland signed him for. Hall will probably start out as a dime back behind Carlos Rogers, Shawn Springs, and Fred Smoot. By season's end, he could overtake Smoot. Hall can also return punts, where Antwaan Randle El has struggled badly
Hall is a bum, horse collars, late hits, constant arguing with the refs, playing 10 yards off on every play........ He will get a pick every now and then, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut on occasion.......
Frankly, I'm surprised the Cowboys didn't jump all over him. Their secondary is in as bad a shape as ours and what the hell, they already took a gamble on Pacman. Hall is actually a better CB (when he decides to play like it) than Pacman is/was after his return. Also, it's not like the Cowboys to let a big name, yet troubled, FA slip through their fingers.
