Gotta be happy for a stoner to come back from the unemployment line to be an effective back. Good job Ricky.

I am a Ricky Williams fan. I know, some of his antics were really off the wall, and irresponsible for sure, but the man walks his own special way. And if you listen, you will hear someone who is extremely genuine and goal oriented. And if nothing else, few can deny his athletic ability, and work ethic. And for Parcells to stick with him, tells me that he is well respectd for his effort, and team play. He has impressed the right dude, and that was not a given.
I hope Ricky can stay away from you know what, because otherwise I find him a fascinating character, and one heck of a football player.

how many drug tests did he fail? how many times did he retire to go smoke weed and be a buddhist monk or whatever?
if Goodell had any stones, this loser would be banned from the NFL for life.
and if the Tunafins had any self-respect and pride, they'd have cut this piece of trash the first time he pulled that crap on them.
I have no respect for teams that allow trash to represent their team.
what kind of message does this send to the children that watch the NFL?
oh I can do drugs, and play in the NFL and no consequences will come of it.
way to be a role model Ricky Williams, way to support him Tunafins. you might as well have put a banner on Pro Player Stadium stating "We Support and Endorse the Use of Illegal Drugs".

and no everyone who drinks should not be banned, but everyone who abuses alcohol and ends up getting dui's, dwi's, or kills or injures someone as a result of driving while intoxicated, or any other alcohol related offense, such as beating your wife/gf while you were drunk, should be banned from the NFL.
all professional sports needs to adopt a zero tolerance policy for illegal drug use/abuse and alcohol abuse. Playing Professional Ball is a privelege not a right.
there should be no 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 chances.
it should be 1 screwup, and goodbye.

Dont judge a guy based off one mistake in his life because if that was the case Im pretty sure I can make a strong statement why you dont even belong to be in this world.
i may not be perfect, but I've never used illegal drugs, drove a car under the influence or while intoxicated, or any of the stuff these idiot spoiled brat athletes pull.
the difference between me and Ricky Williams, is I learn from my mistakes after the first time, not repeat them 4 or 5 times, before I get the message.
i hate guys like you who love to justify illegal, immoral, and unethical behavior to the rest of the outside world.
sorry, not everyone else is as brain dead as you.Last edited by Overtime; 01-05-2009, 09:37 PM.

I see that you have been effectively brainwashed by the system and seem to believe you know what exactly makes a model citizen and what does not. I suppose you are entitled to believe whatever you want, but do not be so rash as to make your belief the law of the land.Adopted 2010 Bronco: Chris Kuper

I haven't been brainwashed by anything, I make my own choices, for my own reasons. I've seen enough of my former friends do the crap to know how retarded, stupid, and immature it is to smoke pot. it makes you act stupid, it makes you lazy, it makes you not care, it will cost you your job, it can get you thrown in prison, and it fries your brain cells...as is evident with that moron ricky williams. if that's not evidence enough of why you shouldn't do it in the first place, then i don't know what is.
my vendetta against marijuana is #1.) it's illegal #2.) it is stupid #3.) it is pointless #4.) It serves no purpose.
if you need drugs to get through life, or you use them for personal pleasure, to not remember, or whatver, you're a gutless retard who has no inner strength, and does not have the mental capacity to deal with the obstacles thrown at you in life, without resorting to the illegal use of drugs to help you forget about your problems.
i take ibuprofen when I have a headache for pain.
ricky williams smoked weed cause he thought it made him cool, and because he's a piece of trash.
how is it my belief being the law of the land? marijuana is already illegal, which is the law of the United States of America.
we have rules and laws in this country for a reason. just because you're ignorant and think all these athletes are special and can get away with whatever they want, doesn't mean those rules don't still apply, regardless if you agree with them or not.

And where did i say athletes deserved special treatment? I cannot find that anywhere in my previous quote. They do not deserve special treatment, no one does. Williams has done nothing wrong to other people, I have never heard of him assaulting someone physically or verbally. Most reports I have heard of him he has been quite peaceful.
And yes i am fully aware Marijuana is illegal in most circumstances in the U.S. But what if that law was to change? Would you still find Williams to be a dirtbag? A loser? Or would it be okay, much like it is okay now to drink alcohol?Adopted 2010 Bronco: Chris Kuper
