Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

LOL!! Patrick Reusse always has been, and always will be an idiot. I live here in MN (sick of snow and cold already!) and can't stand that turd! Loved watching the Viqueens loose! AWESOME!
He's still a work in progress, but Tarvaris certainly has as much potential as ballyhooed Broncos QB Jay Cutler.
Hey, fellow fan here. I was re visting old articles when I came across this one. And I was just thinking of how wrong you were. Jackson is a lot worse than cutler if you could not tell by now. Cutler has the 28th ranked defense and 7 running backs on I.R. but still manages to have a pro bowl year. When jackson has a extremly good defence almost #1 at stoping the run, and AP the league's leading rusher in the backfield. Meanwhile Jackson was benched after a 0-2 start. So um, do you have any regrets about writing that article? Or do you still beileve that jackson is better than cutler. Just wondering.
This article you wrote last year seems a little off. Cutler had one of the worst defenses and had 7 running backs go on injured reserve and he still makes the Pro Bowl. Jackson had one of the best defenses and running backs in the league and where does he stand at this point? I think you wrote this article a little premature don't you think?
:salute!:

As a fellow Bronco fan in MN I agree that Reusse is an idiot. How did I miss that article last year? I don't know what football he has been watching but even an average fan who has never seen a Bronco game would say that Cutler is way better than Jackson. If Cutler had that running game and that D the Broncos would be hosting a first-round playoff next weekend. MNBroncosFan makes a good point. Cutler plays with one of the worst defenses in Bronco history, loses 7 running backs to IR, yet still manages to make the Pro Bowl and continue to develop as one of the league's better young QBs. T-Jack has a great running game and a quality defense, yet he sits for most of the year and plays horribly in the playoff loss. Maybe we should make Ruesse our new GM b/c he clearly knows more about talent than a HOF coach with two Super Bowl trophies.
To answer Reusse's question about the job security Shanahan had in Denver for 14 years. Winning two super bowls does a lot for you, even if they happened nearly a decade ago. I know its a concept organizations like the Vikes and Bolts have a tough time understanding, but winning Lombardi trophies does wonders for job security.

Lol, I bet he is gona read all these emails and be say something along the lines of hmmm..... I think these emails are realted somehow...hmmmmmm
"Why is it that Shanahan can get away with advertising his second-year quarterback as a cinch to be a star after he showed many flaws in a 7-9 season, and when Brad Childress gets around to announcing that he's going to stick with his second-year quarterback (8-4 as a 2007 starter), VikesWorld is going to flip out?
We saw both of these products of the 2006 draft on the field for Sunday's finale. Anyone who can say they saw much more potential in Cutler than they did in Tarvaris Jackson has been brainwashed by the Shanahan media machine that has a national reach."
Um...
ok?

OVERTIME MIN DEN
FG 14:08 Jason Elam 30 Yd 19 22
So, Jackson didn't score until 5 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, when the entire Vikings team finally woke up. I suppose it could have been worse, with Williamson dropping that pass he was wide open on.
Minnesota Passing
C/ATT YDS TD INT
Jackson 16/31 175 2 0
Neither of them THREW picks, but, Jackson did cough up the ball, which cost them the game. OH, the Vikings also had 180 yards of rushing to our 120 we had.
OH, and the Vikings were fighting for a playoff spot. Denver was just playing spoiler.
I REALLY think this guy needs his head examined if he thinks Denver's "ballyhooed" QB is worse than Tavaris "What's this reading the Defense, crap?" Jackson.
