are you kidding me? Dwayne Bowe and Tony Gonzales are their go to guys, however, Tony G may be traded this offseason for a draft pick...in fact the more I think about it, I'm willing to bet that will be 1 of Pioli's first moves with the roster. They need draft picks, so I'm sure there will be some guys going bye bye.

that Franklin kid (WR) was also coming along pretty well too towards the end of last season.

Cassel is franchised at 14 million. How could KC afford to pay him 14 mil. and give up 2 #1 draft picks. That would be stupid.

Cassel will be franchised. But, any team interested in Cassel can negotiate a trade. No team is going give an offer sheet to Cassel and give up the 2 first round picks.

Cassel might be retainted for 1 year(because of Brady's injury), but Cassel's value is at an all time high so I definately expect NE to listen to any offers for Cassel.

They Franchised him because of the problems with Brady's rehab. They pay him 14 million, but this is the fourth year on the team and next will be the fifth... so they basically give him a three million dollar bonus for every year he's been on the team. Still pretty cheap.

I don't see the Patriots wanting to trade him off... they need him around without the certainty on Brady. Right now he's an important back-up plan for them.

But I know this. I wouldn't want to be the team that takes him. This isn't the first ime we've seen a back-up QB perform fantastically when coming off the bench. Heck, Damon Huard performed damn well in 2007 as a back-up coming off the bench and playing almost the entire season. As soon as he is made the starter, he looked like crap.

THink Scott Mitchell, Frank Reich, Jeff Hostetler.
