It can be done. The Vikings system will be much easier to learn than the Jets.
Yea, 40 year old QB's come back and do good all the time.

Just look at Vinny Testaverde with the Panthers. Oh ... wait no that didn't work out well.

Look no further than Brett Favre with the Jets last year! Oh .... wait that didn't work out so good either.

Joe Namath and the Rams? Nope again

Johnny Unitas with the Chargers? No, again.

Oh wait, there is one! Otto Graham in 1955! Yep, he came out of retirement and led the Browns to NFL Champions again.

Wow, 1955. That's 54 years ago. Favre has history against him, especially considering his play last year and the limp noodle of an arm he has left.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Montana did it at 38, it can be done:

Montana returned healthy to the Chiefs in 1994, starting all but two games. His highlights included a classic duel with John Elway (which Montana won 31-28) on Monday Night Football, and a memorable game in week 2 when Montana played against his old team, the 49ers and Steve Young. In a much-anticipated match-up, Montana and the Chiefs prevailed and defeated the 49ers 24–17. Montana led his team to a final playoff appearance in 1994.

More like beating it to a bloody pulp, slapping it silly, letting the neighborhood kids take turns on it, shooting it twice in the legs, chopping off its hands, placing it's face in a vice and slowly closing it, and then slowly backing over it with a steam roller on live, national television.
