Yeah, I *HEAR YOU*. The Browns do not need starters on the OL. I'll be sure to to book my tickets to Miami from Cleveland come February....

I'm thankful to see that the Browns are on our schedule.
    Knock your attitude off.

The Browns need depth at tackle. So they sign a tackle. Since they signed George Foster you have been spouting how they should have signed Orlando Pace instead. Even though Pace signed with the Bears two months ago. So I tell you that he was unavailable and wanted to start. The Browns needed a depth player. So now I think the Browns are going to win the Super Bowl?

I don't know what pills you are taking but I did not say that signing George Foster for depth purposes = the Browns winning or appearing in the Super Bowl. You really must love looking into everything everybody says and finding whatever obscure meaning you want.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Your current GM is incompetent, and your last GM was incompetent.

They could have at least pursued a better tackle in Pace, yet nobody even bothered to pick up the telephone in Cleveland. It's pretty cut and dry.

Your team isn't even making an effort to improve,

I'd shed a few tears for the Cavaliers, but they suck as well.

So he's incompetent because he didn't go after Orlando Pace?

Perhaps he wasn't interested in Orlando Pace because the Browns needed a BACKUP tackle. Do you understand that word? BACKUP. Not an over the hill tackle who has delusions of grandeur. Pace believes he still should automatically start at tackle. You don't understand at all do you. You are set in this mindset that when you need something, why not go for the most expensive player available. The Browns GM, happily, has the mindset that if you need a backup player you sign a backup player and don't go for broke on an expensive over the hill tackle that already signed with another team two months prior.

To make a team better you see what your problem is and then you sign the best player available that fills that need. The Browns needed a BACKUP tackle because after their starter goes down they have nobody to fill the role. So, they signed a quality backup player and you want to complain about that?

Oh wait, I forgot. The most sure-fire way to improve your team is to sign an over-the-hill free agent. Isn't that right? If you need depth, an over-the-hill player is not what you sign. You sign a relatively young player that can provide depth. Foster isn't too old and he's not too young. He's just right. He's a whole lot better than St. Clair.

I don't need to respond with an entire dissertation, the Browns could have done a better job in pursuing an OL. Pace has enough gas left in the tank to have been a better signing for that organization, once again Cleveland has missed the boat.

So when a team needs a backup, they should go off and sign a big named player and pay him #1 money to be a #2. Makes a lot of sense.

Maybe all GM's should be blessed with your incredible intellect. Salary cap be damned!

              Just picture that offensive line.

              Joe Thomas at LT
              Ryan Tucker at RT

and Orlando Pace as a backup to Joe Thomas or Ryan Tucker. Man just think about that line! The Browns would be in salary cap hell, but man. That will help the Browns win in the long run. Signing a backup player to #1 money - that is how to win in the NFL. While they are at that they should sign Marvin Harrison and give him a huge contract and Ty Law too. Then when they are done with that sign Brett Favre to backup both Quinn and Anderson. Just picture that! We don't need no stinkin' salary cap!!

Orlando Pace? Why would the Browns go after Orlando Pace? The guy is 33 years old, and he missed 23 games in the last 2 seasons. The Rams did not want to keep him. Joe Thomas is the real deal. And Pace won't keep Cutler upright. But George Foster, I mean, even as a backup... I think he might work as a guard, but as a tackle...

Foster isnt that bad, iv seen worse, he got into Shannys dog house and never got out, then he goes to a crappy Lions team where nobody looked good, he might actually be a pretty good backup with the Browns.

                        Exactly.

Pace is old and is a has-been. The only thing Pace has is his name recognition. So to lampoon the Browns GM because he didn't sign Pace two months ago and call him incompetent for that?

Yes you are a broken record.

No, the Browns do not "suck".

The Browns are one of the most storied teams in the NFL. You are acting like the Browns haven't won a game in years and are continually 0-16. There has only been one 0-16 team and that was Detroit. Detroit is a team that actually does suck. The Lions haven't been above .50 since 2000. The Browns? They haven't since 2007. Before then? The Browns were above .50 in 2003. The Browns still have won nearly 60% of their games throughout the team's history. The Browns record is 491-396-13.

That's what he is being used for.

Or do you think he can take over the tackle job from Joe Thomas? Or perhaps Ryan Tucker who has started the last several years? I don't think so.
