If what he is accused of doing is true, then he needs to be brought up on assault charges, and yes, Goodell should punish him as well.

Any-way last year after game 1. Hanson was bad mouthing Kiffin (his coaching). So Kiffin suspended him like a coach should be able to right?? Not in Davis land. Davis said only I can suspend him and wouldn't. Fast foward to this year. Hanson was helping coach the D backs. Only one problem. He couldn't tell the players apart. Kept mixing them up. Cable met with the DB's asking whats going on. After that meeting he informed Hanson he wouldnt be coaching them any-more. Only breaking down film (or something like that). The other D coaches were present. Hanson tried to say it wasn't true and according to reports got in a screaming match with our DC. Thats when Cable lost it.

While I don't think much of Cable as a HC. I actually gained respect for him because at least he went after a Davis spy. But no way should he have did what he did (if true). I think the pressure of working for a crazy person is getting to Cable.

Please suspend our owner. Better yet make him sell the team.

I doubt Cable will be suspended though. At least now. It would have to go through the court system (trial). I doubt Hanson could ever get 12 to convict. The other coaches seem to be backing Cable. How could be be suspended on a not guilty verdict. That trial probably wouldnt even be this season if it went that far. Now maby if Cable loses a civil suit. But hell the way Davis fires HC's. Cable will probably be gone by then.

    Suks to be us.

(edit) About returning to his old position. Al told him he couldn't undermine his HC (that is so funny and laughable). So he couldnt be a coach any-more. Davis gave him 3 choices. Hanson could go into scouting. Do nothing and get paid the remainder of his contract. Forget the other (something with game tape maby). Hanson hung up the phone on Davis when told that (he should have hung Al). Thats when he got a lawyer and is going to police. Supposed to be today.
dude I love your user name :salute!:

If two people get into a fight and keep quiet, then so be it. But, if they get into a fight and one decides to press charges, then yes, by all means, he should get punished.

Regardless of whether or not he's a Davis snitch or a ***** or what the fight is all about, the society we live in now frowns upon fighting in the "corporate" or "professional" world. Granted, NFL football life is a wee different, but if you can suspend a player for hitting and injuring another player(Steve Smith last year) then by all means the coaches are not infallable or above the law. Goodell has a league image to protect, and Cable has tarnished it. Lay down the law... if Goodell feels being the head coach of the Raiders isn't enough punishment, that is.

Gotta have proof to lay down a hammer. Since this all happened near the core of the FO, the Faiders might have a hold on what more gets out

I kinda thought this could fall into General Discussions since it isn't about the Raiders, it is about an act of one coach to another.

If Plax gets two years for shooting himself in the leg, Cable should get Jail time for assault. IMO

The NFL really is full of thugs. And hopefully this one doesn't get preferential treatment.

I made a comment about this elsewhere, but if my boss attacked me in a meeting and fractured my jaw, he would be immediately walked out of the building, and probably into police custody. Why should Cable be suspended? He should be fired, and he very well might end up in jail. Now, that said, he's a perfect fit for the raiders.

Goodell needs to treat this just like a player. Telling someone youre gonna kill them while choking them is attempted murder, or at least can be construed as.

Cable looks like a guy that might snap and mess you up royally. To be fair though, there are lots of reports that this Hansen cat is an Al Davis snitch and kind of a female dog....

He needs to coach the Raiders to a 4-12 record, THEN go to jail.
