Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Green Bay -the class of the nfc north
Minnesota -has a fighting chance
Detroit -
Chicago - both detroit and Chicago are the basement dwellers of the division
The beatings will continue until morale improves....
What makes you think that, especially when he have the easiest SOS in the league this year, and are facing a bunch of teams that are also in rebuilding mode?
I think the bears finish 9-7 at best, ofc i may be very wrong, but id like it a lot.
And as for difficulty of schedule - Packers & Vikings got almost the same, and i think they are better than bears.. cant wait for reg. season to start -_-

I believe it will be like last year where it will be a close call till near the end of the season....just with the lions actually getting at least one win...hahahaha...but it is my hopes that the packers go (obviously) they have a hard year ahead of them with Favre on the Viking and Cutler on the Bears. I trust in Rodgers to get the Packers to the playoffs this year.

lol. Either you're extremely bitter about Cutler being in Chicago or you don't know football. Or maybe both.
Chicago, Green Bay, and Minnesota each have a chance to win the division and go deep into the playoffs. I think Chicago takes it, probably with a 10-6 or maybe even 11-5 record.
Bitter? I'm a little bitter. But I do think that is how the division will wrap up. Granted I gave CHI a lil jab with the basement comment, but GB and MN are clearly better than the other 2 teams in the division

I dont know about that one, GB doesnt seem like a bad team but they dont really scare me. Aaron Rodgers looked ok last year, and I heard he is doing good in preseason, but still 1 year isnt enough. Good defense, questionable run game. Now the vikings....even without favre they are a scary team. Depends if they are getting the int happy favre or the favre that went to the nfccg two years ago (which ironically he threw an int to lose the game )
I hope Aaron Rogers do a wonderful job this year. After all he's my FF QB on a serious note though that division will be fun to watch this year. Its full of unknowns but yes Aaron Rogers has been on a rampage this preseason. Farve although past his prime is a winner side him with AP and that's scary for any defense i don't care who you are. Not to mention the Vikings defense. Then Cutler goes to lead the bears. Hey I'm not bitter towards Cutler but he had better improve his game if he wants to compete in that division this year. We will see come the season if i made a prediction right now it would stand.
Minn 11-5
GB 10-6
Chi 10-6
Lions 5-11
Obviously the divison record will be huge between GB and Chi but I think two teams are coming out of the nfc south which is the saints and the falcons and then the east the giants and eagles so Chi or GB could be this years pats of last season where they had a good record but can't get in because they are not division champs.
chi over GB and Minn by a lot of you? Come on seriously! I would take jennings over ANY chi wideout. I would also take rogers over cutler in a heart beat as well. It will be a tight race between Minn and GB. I give the edge to the vikes D over GB.

You realize there are 53 players that make up a teams roster right? I'm sure you would take Calvin Johnson over any Green Bay receiver. So why don't you have Detroit ahead of Green Bay? Your hate for Cutler is making you delusional.
Look at the Packers record last year and tell me where they have improved so much. Look at the Bears record last year and tell me why they are now worse. But please do it with a straight face.
I think the problem is that people who dont really watch that division tend to look at a team the same way they look at their own team.
Generally speaking, people will judge a team by their QB + WR production, because that is usually all you see on highlight reels and it sells the league. People talk about Tom Brady and Randy Moss and rightly so, but you never see anyone talk about Wilfork who is one of the main staples of that team.
It's easy to look at the Bears WRs and say they are going to be bad because, hey, they have no WR. Well, they had no WR last year and we're in the mix until the last game. A year before they went to the SB with the same WRs basically, a year before that they won the division with no WRs and no QB play, a year before that they won with Kyle Orton and no WRs...
They Bears know how to play Bear Football. It's not highlight football, you will never see them leading off the highlight reels. But since Lovie Smith has been there they are always near the top in the league in defensive turnovers. They always run the ball well, not great but well enough. They play pretty good defense, not the best in the league, but good enough. And they have the best special teams unit in the league for years.
Meaning, they never built around the QB because they seem to win without one.
Well, now they have a QB and they still have that league best special teams unit and they still have that same ability on defense to turn the ball over. They are pretty good at stopping the run, very shaky against the pass. Overall, it is an average to above average team.
But to sit here and say that they got markedly worse by signing Cutler and they are going to be last in the division is just stupid.
People thought all last year they would score the least amount of points in league history. Orton leading the offense? With no WR? Turned out to be pretty different than that. Then people said if Orton left, the team would be worse.....with Jay Cutler? How?
Does Cutler throw so many pics that the Bears could not recover and win a game? I watched Orton throw a lot of picks, they still managed to win. I have seen Jay Cutler throw a couple of picks this year, but I have also seen him check down passes and throw the ball out of bounds, something he never did in Denver.
Let's give them just a little credit for finding a formula to win NFL games that is different than the normal way you see. Just like the Titans last year, they know their identity and they play within themselves.
They have been doing that for years.
And somehow the Packers, with a totally new defense and coming off a 6-10 record are going to magically be a SB team?
I can see the Vikings being a play-off team because last year they WERE a play-off team....and they just got a better QB. So how can the Bears, who just got a better QB, get worse?
Thios division will come down to what it ALWAYS comes down to. The last two weeks with three teams battling it out. It has been that way for decades.

It's gonna be fun to watch. And you're right. CHI does find ways to win games with ST and timely stops or TO's. That Hester return the other night was the moment of momentum shift in PRE3. The team fed off it and rolled with it.
The beatings will continue until morale improves....
