    The way I see it.

    1) The Packers have the best offense, followed by the Bears, Vikings, and Lions.

    2) The Vikings have the best defense, followed by the Bears, Packers, Lions.

    3) The Bears have the best special teams, followed by the Lions, Packers, and Vikings.

    4) To win this division the Packers would have to do it all on offense, the Vikings on defense and their running game, the Bears on overall balance between their offense, defense and special teams, the Lions are a lost cause.

    5) #1 the Bears on balance, #2 Vikings with an outstanding defense and the NFL's best runner, #3 Packers, great "O" but more questions than answers on defense, #4 Lions.......just because they are the Lions.

I agree with you that Green Bay will win the division they are going to be a good team this year. Rodgers has shown he is a good QB plus they have some great recivers. Plus i've read the defense is coming together this offseason/preseason.

Minnesota- Hard to tell Favre could pull a Jets on the Vikings and fade in the clutch, but they have Adrian Peterson I bet they have a shot at the wildcard

Bears- I don't agree they are the basement dwellers of the division. Cutler has looked decent, still don't think he's going to be as effective as he was in Denver, but the D looks good this year they will be right there (it depends on the WR play for them if they step up they can stay competive if not then yeah they probably will fall behind the Packers and Vikings.)

Lions- Yeah what a joke they will once agian be on the bottom I gurantee they will double their wins this year however.

Overall the NFC North looks like one of the most improved divisions in the NFC if not the NFL I think between GB, MIN, and CHI all three teams will be close througout the season should be fun to watch.

Here is a message to any packer fans on the boards I hope Green Bay just dominated Favre this year You guys need to stick it to him instead of the other way around I'll be rooting for the Pack!

Actually you can't judge a defense until they show you how well they can play. seeing as how the packers are using a different style defense this year you have to wait and see if they can use it properly. They Packers have the best shot at the playoffs this year.

Aaron Rodgers looked ok last year, and I heard he is doing good in preseason, but still 1 year isnt enough. Good defense, questionable run game. Now the vikings....even without favre they are a scary team. Depends if they are getting the int happy favre or the favre that went to the nfccg two years ago (which ironically he threw an int to lose the game )
Rodgers looks to be better now than Favre did when he was in his prime. Already Rodgers is playing better than Favre did. Yeah last year he would screw up at the end but More than likely he worked on that and I believe he will play 10 times better this year than last. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the packers to the superbowl this year...that would also make me extremely happy...

The Bears seem to have that feeling that they were one player away from a Super Bowl, this is common with alot of teams, they think if they get one big name player that'll put them over the top. It happened with the Cowboys last year, they traded a bunch of picks for Roy Williams thinking that was the missing link, Williams did nothing and they didn't even make the playoffs. Chicago has improved with the Cutler trade, but the other three teams in the division have improved as well. We will wait and see what happens in the NFC North.

              Minnesota: 11-5
              Chicago 9-7
              Green Bay 8-8
              Detroit 5-11

i think it will be close between chicago and green bay, but i have a feelin minnesota is taking it. they are a good team, and hopefully farve and help.

Look at the Packers record last year and tell me where they have improved so much. Look at the Bears record last year and tell me why they are now worse. But please do it with a straight face.

The Bears also added a huge piece to their linebacker corps. Tinoisamoa. You may remember him as the guy who ran down Eddie Royal in preseason week 3 like it was nothing.

Not to mention the fact the Bears have upgraded the offensive line signifigantly, and already had one of the best RBs in the league. TEs are really good too.

If you want to call the QBs a wash, the Pack do have the clear edge in WR.

The Bears have the better feature back, Offensive Line, and TEs. I know my division. The Packers dont have the advantage in offensive talent. Sorry bud.

the packers downfall last year was their defence not their offence. yeah they had a new QB but he was one of the highest ranked QB's last year. He Did the best out of our division. With the new defence this year the packers will come out on top of the bears and vikings. poor lions don't even have a chance never did.

Yes Rodgers looks good on the stat sheet, but he also was a factor in your 6-10 08' season. In seven games late in the fourth quarter Rodgers had a chance to bring the Packers back and give them a victory........seven times he failed.

Problem with your new defense is that you don't have any 3-4 linbackers on your roster. Kampman a all pro 4-3 DE forced to play out of position at LB, Thompson, another DE who looks lost at LB, Matthews a rookie who has missed a lot of time with injury and does not look ready for the speed of the NFL yet. Inside.......Hawk an outside linebacker looks like a bust inside, Barnett coming off ACL surgery was an undersized MLB in the 4-3, now in that 3-4 he does not have two huge DT's to keep OLinemen off him. Teams are going to be able to run on this defense.........not a good thing with Peterson and Forte in this division.

Packers finish third behind the Bears and Vikings.

Kevin Smith is no slouch either. He's very underrated IMO. Had a very nice rookie season given the circumtances. Packers are going to get ran all over.
