yes you were rooting for death over common sense

if anything goodell is going to give merriman a medal, isn't the nfl partnered with MADD?
Good one I would NEVER root for death for anyones life out there. Why did she call the police when he put her hands on her? Stopping someone drinking and driving is smart put touching incident women is not...Why would she call the police if she was drunk? He's not team player just wants to go Hollywood from looks of it wont be getting a contract extension from AJ Smith which is good thing AJ drafted Larry English this year huh??

And you don't know me don't act like you do. Charger fans I tell you

Guy has skill, but has been a headache for SD. Traits that seem to go hand-in-hand in Pro-Sports.

So she was drunk, he tried to stop her driving home, she called the cops claiming that he was choking her when he probably just had his arm wrapped around her to keep her from leaving. When the cops got there they had to arrest him because he was accused of domestic violence, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.

Merriman will get off without any charges being filed. Bank on it.
If Merriman were smart he would have called the police or taken her keys. Not grabbed her in any way.

If this is true I do commend him for not letting her drive drunk but there is a much better way to do it then he did.

KC has always given us trouble, but the Donks & the Raiders have been an easy mark for several seasons now.
Ya we will just have to go and cry about that and then use the tears to polish are 2 superbowl trophies.

Until your team wins two superbowls they are not even in the Broncos league.

If all Merriman did was try to keep her from driving drunk and she got all hormonal and had him arrested for it, then it would be pretty hard to criticize his actions. If he lets her leave loaded and she plows into someone, he's liable for allowing her to leave his residence while she was obviously intoxicated. If that had happened, not only could he have been arrested & prosecuted, but he'd be ripe for a lawsuit as well and with his current & future earning potential, it would almost be unAmerican not to sue him! :usa:
    yep exactly

in this case, the it alastor is referring to, is merriman possibly saving lives last night by preventing a drunk driver from killing herself and others

very comendable......and witnesses will back that side of the story up

It would be very similar to Marshall's circumstance in that case.

Another similarity would be that whether she testifies or not, that doesn't change the fact that he did it.
actually what changes the facts and proves that he didn't do it, will be witness testimony

and it's also why you're ignorant to the rules of law

this is pretty much going to be a dead issue in a day or so =

"There was absolutely no wrongdoing on the part of Mr. Merriman," Macaluso told the Associated Press by phone. "He essentially was doing what was appropriate under the circumstances in trying to protect the safety of Miss Tequila. There were numerous eyewitnesses that will support his version of the events that transpired at his home."

    keep hatin though :salute!:

She was released from the hiospital pretty quickly, which would not likely be the case if he had really beaten her up considering the vast disparity in the size & weight of these two. Even the deputies admitted that she was drunk, so not much is likely to come of this.

The big thing will be to see if he gets prosecuted, or if charges are dropped by the DA. Since it was a "citizen's arrest", I believe it will be the latter. In California, if a woman alleges domestic battery against a man, the responding Officers are required fill out a crime report, and send that report to the DA for action. They must also make an arrest when there is visible injury, no matter how slight. In cases where there is no visible injury, they must inform the "victim" that she has a right to make a citizen's arrest.

The fact that she signed a citizen's arrest warrant tells me that there were no visible injuries, and if that is the case the DA has only the testimony of an intoxicated woman, and not much else.

Marshall was suspended last year for the things he did. This year, he was acquitted, thus no suspension.
And Merriman won't be suspended either unless he gets prosecuted & convicted, which is not likely.

You tell yourself what you need to to try and make this better though.
I'm "comforted" by the facts that continue to trickle out, because they paint a better picture of Merriman than the original reports indicated.

They could simply refer to the fact that Brandon Marshall wasn't suspended this year
