I watched the 2nd preseason game and before it started I told a K.C buddy that he would go done with another injury, when it happend I said I promise you the X-Rays will be negative..

I have no reason to think he did anything different???

I really don't have much of an opinion on Matt C. but I do know that I watched him play against Minnesota and I thought he looked very good. He may not have had staggering numbers, but let's not forget the fact that Minnesota might have one of the best D's in all of football, and definitely have the most feared front four in football. They never blitz because their front 4 applies so much pressure.

He actually got hurt in the 3rd preseason game.


In the 2nd game he was lights out. Him and Dwayne Bowe were deadly. He made great plays with both his arm and his feet.

Until we get the right side of our line fixed there will always be a concern. Albert and Waters hold down the left side of our line greatly, but the right is just a turnstile. We don't have a RT yet even though we have been in contact with Jon Runyan. Hopefully we get him.


But behind a good line, Cassel will be good. He's far better than Orton. Far more talented and smarter.

He would be a Bronco right now if McD had his way about it. In reality Cassell is probably a little better than Orton.

Nice post. Well thought out. The guy had a decent year last year as a first year starter. He knows our offense. But heck, forget all that. Just call someone a drunk.

I'm going to predict that Cassel will be nothing more than maybe a little bit above average QB in the NFL, probably closer to average. He did have a lot of talent around him to work with in NE, and although the Chiefs are getting better Cassel doesn't have nearly help around him. I think Cassel would have worked out pretty well hear actually, at least he has comparable players. Sure, we don't have a Randy Moss, but we do have a better O-line and with Moreno/Hillis/Buckhalter I feel we have a better running game than the Pats now as well. Overall him and Orton are probably about the same QB's...each have their limitations, but have had a pretty decent (all be it short) careers. I don't think one will ever stand out over the other though.
