Week 12 notes
A win puts Denver back in 4th... the Chargers don't pick up much by beating the Chiefs.... hopefully next week I'll be saying... The Broncos didn't pick up much by beating the Chiefs.
***Why is Denver so high? According to the ESPN power poll, they have beaten the #4, #5, #6 and #7 best teams in the league this year. Denver could slip a couple spots in this poll even if they win out... 3 games against KC/Oak doesn't provide a lot of positive gains.
*** The Saints closed the gap on Indy in the battle of un-beatens.
*** The may interest only me, but when teams split (see SD/Den) if affects the 2 teams differently. Denver picked up 25 points by splitting with SD (+29 for the win -4 for the loss) SD picked up 13 points in the split (+23 for the win, -10 for the loss). However, a split with KC would be a net loss of 21 points for the Broncos. So you are rewarded for splitting with a good team, penalized for splitting with a bad team.
