  • Steelers DE Smith out for the season

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Aaron Smith will miss the rest of the season with a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder, an injury that significantly weakens what was the NFL's best defense the last two seasons. The Steelers placed Smith on the injured reserve list Wednesday, which means he cannot play again this season.

His loss definetely weakens The Pittsburgh Steelers!!!

My thoughts on Pittsburgh were we have advantages.

    Pittsburgh's Oline < Denver's Oline

    Pittsburgh's WR < Denver's WR

    Pittsburgh's RB < Denver's RB

Pittsburgh's QB > Denver's QB He has 2 Super Bowl Trophys

Overall Pittsburgh doesn't seem like they are as good as last year and we should have a Great Chance to WIN!!!

what does this have to do with the Broncos?

But to stay on topic, it does seem to help denver and could allow them to maybe pull an upset. The Steelers have been playing sloppy

At the point in the season we play them, I don't think it will be considered an upset any longer.

Yes it will. Every time we win, it's an upset.

That's true because Denver is a 3 or 4 win team at best.

That's bs because we're not going to win any games this season. Sorry but I'm being a realist.

At least the Injuries will give Jamie Dukes and the other D-bags some excuse to justify their opinions!!!!!!!! Excuses are like A**HOLES and Jamie Dukes is one!!!!!!

I can see the Broncos starting 8-0!!!!!!!!! Only 3 more upsets to get there:go:

I hate the Steelers but I hate to see a University of Northern Colorado guy go down.

Not to hijack this thread, but I have a story to tell.

I spent many years living in Greeley, CO. For those of you that don't know Greeley, it's a small, crappy town 40 miles north of Denver. One thing unique to Greeley was UNC (University of Northern Colorado) which is where the Broncos spent training camp every year before Dove Vally was built.

At the time I had a roommate Aaron. Aaron had recently graduated from UNC, and had lots of stories for me about his college roommates. One in particular was this "obnoxious" football player who made his life hell sharing a room. Aaron would constantly lament about his football playing roommate and his drunken escapades with different women every other night. After living with Aaron for a few months he invited me to a party hosted by his old roommates. In those days I was always open for a party, so I went even though I was a couple years older, and wouldn't know anyone there.

I was introduced to this mountain of a man. He was easily the biggest person in the room. He was also very nice, and welcomed me in. I ended up spending most of that night talking to this guy about football, and Greeley. The guy then asked me as the only sober person in the room to drive his drunk, and passed out friend home. I didn't have my car as I didn't drive to the party, and so I was handed the keys to this persons car.

As I approached this obviously modded Handa Civic. The host of the party told me that if I even so much as got dirt on the car he would kill me. I believed him. Luckily for me the drunk person I was taking home only lived a couple of surface streets away, so I did not have far to go. After realizing that the car had 4 foot pedals and 2 shifters I was in big trouble. I didn't want to embarrass myself by saying I didn't know how to drive this car, but I was lost. After a few minutes of trial and error I figured out the gas and the break pedal. The clutch was also fairly obvious. I wasn't willing to play with the other pedal not knowing what it was for so I stuck with what I knew. I was able to get going in 1st gear down the empty surface street until I tried to put it in second gear. It wouldn't go. Clutch, or no clutch the car would not change gears, and after grinding it a couple times I ended up just coasting at 15 miles an hour in 1st to this guys house.

I stopped in front of the house and realized after a few attempts I would not be able to raise this guy out of his drunken stupor. The only thing I could do was get out, and try to pull the guy out of the car myself. As I rounded the car and opened the passenger door a flood of vomit came pouring out of this guys mouth. It went all over the car's newly cleaned interior, glove box, door, and console. It was everything I could do to keep from throwing up myself. After recovering from the smell, and cursing loudly I was forced to drag this guy out of the car (He was about twice my size) and up the front steps to his porch where I left him to sleep it off. Reluctantly, I went back to the car and drove it back in first gear to the residence of the party. When I showed back up with the keys I had to tell the host what had happened. As I began to explain I stared up at his massive frame and I could tell he was getting visibly agitated. He cut me off mid sentence and went to see for himself. I don't care how big you are. You smell something like that and it will bring you to tears. He was furious. I thought I was a dead man, but he stormed right past me and into the house. I left at that point figuring my welcome was probably worn out.

2 days later I ran into the host coming out of a store. He approached me and I figured he was going to kick my ass, but instead he shook my hand. In my confusion he thanked me for getting his friend home safely. When asked about his car he just laughed and walked away. It turns out that the car belonged to the person who threw up inside of it.

2 Months later the Host of that party was in the Greeley tribune. He had gotten the call that he would be signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers. His name is Aaron Smith.

Pittsburgh drafted Ziggy Hood in the 1st round this year, so we'll see how much the defense drops off.
