  • Bear fans on Cutler

I just read a little bit in the Chicago tribune about yesterdays game. Bear fans are beside themselves. Making up some of the most elaborate excuses you could dream up. I just found it funny, that one of them told me he thought Cutler was a stud, and he'll take the turn overs anyday then to have the likes of Orton back. I told him Orton won the AFC player of the week, so how could he say that. His answer was Orton is no longer a Bear and he's glad of that. That was it. I had to leave, but I was laughing.:orton: lead us to Victory

    Who cares about Cutler.

He did not want to be part of the organization any longer. His name is no longer worth our breath, energy or attention.

He disrespected the Broncos fans, for that I think he is a scum bag and hope he has a horrible career. I hope he never sees the playoffs.

In all honesty, I wish he would never take a snap in the NFL again.

Ya know this has got to stop! Bashing Cutler may be fun but, hes no Oline there and hes running for his life! he had 34 yards rushing yesterday, and Forte has 23. The Bears had 2 interceptions, 2 forte fumbles and a dropped endzone pass by Olsen , yet they still drove the ball all day long on the Falcons.

Cutler is being asked to do to much is the best player on the team!! The good news is the Bears can hang with anyone. Cutler has a Defense there, take away some mistakes and give Cutler protection Atlanta losses.

BASHING CUTLER IS WEAK! Ok 2 more Interceptions Ill give ya, but that Cutler Ill take it every sunday, BTW- can you see Ortons slow non-mobile butt behind that HORRIFIC Bears O-line??

Cutler has 10 sacks, Orton would have 20!

I see you like him as much as I do. It was not as much about Cutler as about the fans and what they find themselves saying. That's the funny part.:orton:

Yeah, give the Rams a QB, a O-line, and a defense an they're winning games too. Point is, Cutler can't get it done.
Very happy to have Tebow in orange and blue!!!

Let them occupy their minds with all kinds of excuses. Does not change the fact that Cutler is not playing better than Orton. They thought Cutler would need no OL because he has superhuman moves to avoid sacks and throw 80-yard touchdowns on the run. And they thought Forte would run for 2000 yards with Cutler scaring the defensive backs. Then came the reality check. I would say Orton is looking more like a Pro Bowler than Cutler. Cutler wasted his chance of maximizing his potential with McDaniels. Orton wins.

Sorry man, but it will never get old to bash and hate on Jay Cutler. As for Cutlers surrounding cast, that just gives me more ammo to bash him, because after all, he asked for it, and he got it..so he better start to deal with it.

That's completely wrong! Have you forgotten that the Broncos have the Bears #1 pick next year and that how Cutler does this season will have a great bearing on whether that pick is low or high?

It's a good thing the Bears lost last night to the Falcons.

Wrong, Orton did not have 20 sacks last year. The Bears improved their offensive line this year, the Bears also better receivers than last year, the Bears defense is also playing better than last year since Lovie took over the job of calling the defensive plays from Babich. So with a slightly better OL, much better receivers and a far better defense and not being bother with injury, how did Cutler perform so far ?

It will be a long time before anybody can know who got the better of this trade. What happens if Cutler leads the Bears to the SB next year or the year after, in 2011? Do you think people will forget that he could still be here? Not a chance!

What if Orton tanks next year or is simply mediocre, which is exactly what happened to Brian Griese. One year he looks amazing with 19 TDs and only 4 Ints, and he makes the pro-bowl, the next year he sucks and after that he's gone and Jake Plummer is the QB. He made offensive player of the week that year too.

Things may look VERY different in 2 or 3 years than they do today. Orton is playing a bit better than expected so far, but the offense is still not scoring a lot of points.

Quite frankly, just because Orton has had a few good games means nothing. For 4 years he was mediocre to bad. Now he has a much better offensive cast and the defense is playing like the 2000 Ravens.

He's had some lucky plays to start the season, but now he's playing generally well. He's still not very athletic, and can't throw deep passes with any zip, but he's been accurate and doesn't make many mistakes. In short he looks a LOT like Brian Griese! Reads his progressions well, is smart, checks down to his outlet receiver, doesn't take chances. If nobody's open, he throws the ball away and lets his defense come out and stop them.

As long as the defense limits opposing teams to 11 points a game that's enough to win every game. But, will they be able to do that all season? Who the hell knows?

What happens if the defense gives up 28 points? Can Orton really win a game where he has to come out and throw the ball for 300 yards and make long passes to win?

Cutler showed last night why he's considered a potential elite QB by making some amazing throws, and also showed why he frustrates fans and coaches by making a dumb overthrow for a pick. He's still very young in his 3rd full season as a starter. He has a lot of years ahead of him.

I still maintain that Orton is the second coming of Brian Griese because his strengths and weaknesses look a LOT like Brian Griese. Same lack of mobility and athleticism and speed. Same accuracy on short range passes. Not mobile and prefers to stand in the pocket and check down to his #2 and #3 receivers.

Frankly, I haven't seen ONE argument that convinces me Orton is NOT exactly like Griese!

Fans wasted endless amounts of breath talking about how great Brian Griese was in 2000-2001 too. But, it didn't last.

We'll see if his clone lasts any better.

Im only wanting some OBJECTIVE THOUGHTS! Saying Cutler sucks is pathetic and saying Orton is the Bronco QB for the next 3 years--------.

My point if I had to Give up my house, sell my kid to the black market and have my wife traded away to a country where shed be a sex slave forever, on the Cutler vs Orton, I'd go with Cutler!

Last night was the exact reason I'll take Orton over Cutler.... 2 INT's cost them the game, as long as Orton isn't throwing picks he light years better than Cutler. Lets get this straight TURNOVERS KILL GOOD TEAMS!!!! Cutler may have the arm but Orton has the brains and I'll takle brains over strong arm any day. :orton:
With these Bronx thru no matter what!!!

Orton could be our QB for a couple years if he's winning. I'd rather win then b 8-8 every year. Cutler is driving them there now.

You don't have a wife or family or you wouldn't speak like that. Or perhaps you are not a man.

Cutler is not a great QB yet. Maybe one day but not now.
