  • Anyone think the Saints are that good???

They've allowed quite a few points and have not really played anyone good except the Giants. Why is the media so in awe of these guys? I think their offense is much better than their defense. IMO not as well balanced as our beloved broncos. I want to see them reel off a nice 3 or 4 game stretch against some quality teams. They've only played 5 games anyway. Good deal anyway, let's just feed their egos with a ton of "you're the best" all the way to the playoffs so they can underestimate the Vikings.

The Saints, Broncos, and Colts have played the best so far IMO. I hate when people say they haven't played anyone. THe point is they haven't lost. and they have been winning in pretty convincing fashion.

Yes, the Saints ARE that good. Their offense is just unstoppable. They've hung some ridiculously crooked numbers on the Giants and Eagles.

I like the Saints...and they ARE that good. Define ANYONE, because I think the Eagles count as a somebody and they just lost to Oakland...ugh...

Beating the 'paper tiger' Giants they way that they did, I would tend to think the Saints are that good, certainly the best in the NFC at this point.

But I don't think they're invincible. And over the past few games, Denver has shown the Broncos can matchup with anyone in the league, prepare well, and play hard.

If the Saints can be beat, Denver is a team that can do it.
I'm not sure many other teams in the league can say that right now.

Saints are really good. The Giants were the #1 rated D(granted they played the Raiders, Chiefs, Redskins), but that's still saying something. Darren Sharper adds a lot to that D. Probably as much as Dawkins added to ours. Leadership and playmaker wise.

I think the Saints are that good. That O is awesome. But I like how we would match up with them. our ball control O would be perfect to keep Brees where he needs to be...The sideline.
The Giants have no safties. They spent the whole game in zone, add on the they couldnt get close to Brees. I think that we would preasure Brees and we are a straight up man team. I like this match-up for us.

Yeah they're good. They raped the Giants, Jets, and Eagles all very convincingly.

Their defense gives up 18.6 points per game. I wouldn't say that is a whole lot, Especially with that offense. They are for real there is no doubt about it. I would put them best in the NFC for sure.

This isnt even a discussion. Yes they are all that. They have played the Jets, Eagles and Giants and they have destroyed all with ease. You need to watch that offense to realize how good they are. Their o-line is only slightly worse than ours, Brees doesnt miss open guys...ever, and even when his receivers are covered, he puts the ball in places where his guy can adjust and make a catch. He's playing at an unbelievable level right now, second only to Peyton. Their defense is a lot better than it has been in the past and Darren Sharper has been their Brian Dawkins. He's totally improved that secondary.

This talk will only potentially matter around playoff time. Right now the focus should be on winning in the AFC. If we have to deal with the Saints it won't be until the Superbowl, and I'm not willing to count those chickens before they hatch. Let's rack up a few more wins and then we can talk about playoffs and the Saints.
Is it solipsistic in here, or is it just me?
