From "laughingstock" to the playoffs? Is that possible for the Oakland Raiders?

Raiders DE Richard Seymour told 1530 Homer radio that he expects Oakland to win a playoff spot.

"You can mark it down," Seymour told the station (via PFT). "The Raiders will be in the playoffs in 2009."

The Raiders improved to 2-4 with a 13-9 win against the Eagles last week. The previous week, they lost 44-7 to the Giants. Raiders LB Greg Ellis said in the days after that game that the team was the "laughingstock of the NFL."

Seymour's going to have to pull a lot more hair to get to the playoffs.

The Raiders have lost 11 or more games in 6 straight seasons. They are 2-4 now and last time I checked, Off-the-Markus Russell was still their QB. I doubt it Richard.
