  • Tom Cable not to be charged.

The official source for NFL news, video highlights, fantasy football, game-day coverage, schedules, stats, scores and more.

Napa County district attorney Gary Lieberstein chose not to press charges against Raiders coach Tom Cable for allegedly assaulting assistant Randy Hanson, NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports.

Hanson sent a text message to La Canfora with the news just before Lieberstein officially announced the decision.

Cable was accused of attacking Hanson on Aug. 5 during a meeting at the team’s training-camp hotel in Napa. Hanson went to the hospital to be treated for a broken jaw, but he didn’t immediately tell authorities who assaulted him.

Hanson eventually cooperated with police. The police forwarded their investigation to Lieberstein’s office earlier this month.

    A quote from the DA
He (Randy Hanson) lost his balance
Cable must know a few people that can ''influence'' an outcome.

Good, now he can keep doing what he's been doing... :orton:

But I don't blame him for what is going on in Oakland, we all know who's in charge there

Explain? I don't see how you can say that because look what he has to work with. Russell at QB, and two rookies at WR. And he's not the one who's calling shots, it's the man upstairs.

With all the RB's the Raiders have you shouldn't be throwing. Fargas, Bush, and McFadden should be torching defenses. But Cable would rather see Jamarcus bomb the ball 50 yards down the field for picks. He should never be putting the ball in Russells hands. Thats terrible coaching right there.

Lol, what? Have you seen our running game this season? Because if you have, you wouldn't have said that..We're ranked 28th in rushing the ball and averaging 3.3 per carry. Teams have 8 in the box because Russell poses no threat whatsoever and DHB at wideout. Can't run the ball like that.

I guess. Sorry Raiders are not a high priority to watch. But he isnt doing much right. The 50 yard bombs are not working. Id still try to pound the rock with ur RB's or sreen ur way up the field with McFadden.

Okay, that's fine, I just don't think Cable really has much to work with. And believe me, I doubt Cable wants to throw bombs down the field all the time(man upstairs again). Btw, McFadden is injured but nonetheless has been a huge disappointment. . .

So the question is do Raider fans actually think playoffs are possible this year?

A little birdy told me that the DA found out he coached the Raiders and figured that was worse punishment then jail
