There are a lot of teams that would be seduced by the big arm. And you are right, the Bears have more than just their Jay Cutler expectations as a problem. They have a lot of things to fix and I don't see them making the playoffs this season. Possibly next year, but if they have a little luck, Cutler might have a winning season for the first time since he was in high school.

    Might.

But Orton is looking like the better QB every game.

Typical and Lame excuse from Cutler fans. Remember people think Cutler immediately made the Bears a SB contender? Cutler actually has a better team including OL than Orton had last year.

Yeah the Bears have big problems. One of them is that they are dumb and keep falling for QBs with big arms but small brain. They finally gave up on Grossman last year and they immediately got a Grossman 2.0. HA HA HA.

Nah. They've all bought into the propaganda and media hype. It's everyone's fault but his for throwing the INT's. Typical Chicago for you.

I think so. Wow is that a bad Bears team. Their d looks like ours last year. They have zero receivers and that O-line is a joke. They have a alot of holes to plug, good thing they resigned Cutler cut that might take some time.

            lol..

im a Broncos fan and not a Cutler fan... i never got into the Cutler trade senerio and dont make excuses to make an arguement look better than it is... think what you will about Cutler he is a good QB... plenty of Broncos fans were cheering him with all his interceptions here in Denver.. just cuz you now think you see the light doesnt make it so...

you obviousy dont know about the Bears Oline if you think they were better than ours last year..

              no, he is not.

he makes poor audibles. he can't read the defense. his footwork is pathetic, he never sets his feet, and throws off his back foot ALL THE TIME. he stares down receivers. he throws into coverage. he can't hit the deep ball, despite his arm. he's terrible in the red zone.

sure, i'll admit that chicago o-line is pretty pathetic, but you know what you do in that situation? YOU MAKE ADJUSTMENTS. he can't, because he's just not that good.

              has a decent arm, though.

yeah. gotta love that arm. the bears traded 2 first round picks for an arm.

we might not have gotten an arm but atleast we got a brain.

Well... if any internal trouble develops between the team and Cutler we'll all hear about it thru his real estate agent!

That's not what he said. What he said is this year's Bears OLine is better than last year's Bears OLine. And that's actually true, scary as it sounds. Orton has far less physical tools than Cutler has, but he's much better at making reads and check downs and that helped out the weak Oline last year except in "must pass" situations.

People are exactly right that there's a lot more to the Bears struggles than Cutler, but I wish we would have figured that out back when Orton was our quarterback. We'd have the same problems, but a whole bunch more draft picks and cap room with which to fix them.

The GM simply wanted to explain away his poor performance in drafting in the early rounds by laying everything at the feet of the quarterback position (which the coaching staff was actually pleased with). So he goes out and gets a "Pro Bowler" for all of those early picks (which he's mostly squandered anyway). When Cutler predictably fails to become a magic wand for all of the other problems...

Angelo needs to be held accountable for this.

I must say I've never seen this side of being a fan. Ever since Cutler demanded his way out of town I have rooted for him to fail. Sure it's great to have him feel like an idiot, but it's more geared toward the Broncos getting the better end of the deal and there being no regrets. Obviously the real evaluation of the trade can't happen for a few years but it looks great so far! There's been a few weeks where I've been more than happy with his horrible play.

So here's to more int's and losses for Cutler and more TD's and wins for :orton:

                      :go:

I just can't believe Denver may end up getting a high(ish) draft pick this spring. I figured we'd get a pick in the mid 20's not in the top 15. Unbelievable.

QBs throw off their back foot quite a bit. It is a must skill for a top QB,

I don't think the Bears could get 2 firsts for him if they decided to trade him. They could possibly get 1 first though.
Where are better receivers coming from? They don't have any draft picks left and they are paying boat loads of money to players that don't produce anything.
