To be fair, it appears he's looking at either the playbook or something to that affect. So maybe he's trying to figure out what went wrong. And also, he pretty much owned it after the game that he stunk, although I'm sure plenty of people will claim he threw his whole team under the bus after the game. When it comes down to it, he was horrible in that game and I'm pretty sure he's well aware of that fact. But the whole team really was bad in an epic sense in that one, not just QB1. Watched a bit of the game, and the defense couldn't tackle, couldn't cover, couldn't get really any decent pressure on Carson, and when you give Carson comfortable time in the pocket, he's going to destroy your defense. The reason we beat them and the reason most of the rest of the teams he's faced have not beat them is because unlike most teams, we got in his face, got in the faces of his receivers, and did what apparently no one else in the league can, shut down Cedric Benson.
Fire Rick Dennison - This Signature will stay until the worst playcaller in the NFL is gone.

I was more referring to the way cutler does it in his career. Thats what he looked like in every single one of our losses last year except usually he didnt even have a playbook, just a blank stare at the field as he sat alone on the bench. Most qbs are discussing things with their offense or trying to encourage them.

I saw another pic that was very similar, but no playbook (photo, whatever) in sight.

But you're right, the whole team epically stank. This game exposed the massive weaknesses across the board in Chicago. Which is why the Cutler deal was so stupid. Expecting Jay Cutler to put the team over the top is like thinking wearing bronzer will turn David Spade into the Rock.

and you guys are bashing him for the pic but it looks like he's going over defensive formations on the bench....it's what he should be doing

and yes i still defend the guy, though i'm starting to wonder why

I was refering to the fact lovie pulled him and put in the back up QB, after 3 more TO's

Laugh if you want, but what i found funny was pulling a qb, the week after a bye that was paid so much money. A leader is on the field no matter how bad you're being beat.

Well, that's the reason the Bears picked up Caleb Hanie: to lead them from behind in a shootout of top young quarterbacks!
