Dome Stadiums make everything look Gross

It's a good thing you root for an AFC team then.

This year's NFC playoffs will all be played in a dome because the four division winners are all dome teams. Saints, Vikings, Cowboys, Cardinals.

In fact 7 out of the 16 NFC teams play in a dome. Besides the 4 listed above, there's St. Louis, Detroit, and Atlanta. And remember, Seattle used to play in a dome, until they leveled it and began playing outdoors.

Meanwhile, only 2 out of the 16 AFC teams play in a dome. Indianapolis and Houston.

Good stuff. This explains part of why I don't like watching most NFC games as much...

I agree, it makes it seem like a college game, the turf looks so cartoon-ish and it makes you think you're watching Arena football...

Indy and Houston are both retractable roofs. Open air stadiums are nice for football-only facillities but if you want to host Final Fours and other large events you need the roof. Indy gets the Final Four every few years. No way in hell they would've forfeited that by building an outdoor stadium.

I remember when the Broncos used to play the Seahawks at the Kingdome every year and it wasn't the most fun game to watch. My view of the Seahawks changed when they opened Qwest Field.

Having said this, I really want to visit Qwest Field.
