  • Bears DE Gaines Adams has died?

I know this isn't Broncos related, but it looks like the NFL has lost another man.

WOW - Chicago IS Snakebit - Maybe they should trade Cutler to restock their team - Not a slam against Jay, but it appears he's the ONLY commodity they have to rebuild with

He's the one guy they can build around. Adams is one player. The Bears are a TEAM. They must move on as a TEAM.

I think this can stay in GD for a while, so that the news can get around a bit.

                    Horrible news.

"Autopsy will be performed today." Crazy.

                    RIP.

There has not been a similar time in the NFL with as many active players passing away. The list is unfortunate, sad, and growing.

                            Heart Attack kills Adams

GREENWOOD, SC - Former Clemson All-American Defensive End Gaines Adams died overnight while visiting family in his hometown of Greenwood, South Carolina.

A source close to Adams’ family says Adams suffered an apparent heart attack and was taken to Self Memorial Hospital, where doctors later pronounced him dead. An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday in Anderson.

At Clemson, Adams was named to all five official All-America teams acknowledged by the NCAA in 2006, making him one of seven unanimous All-Americans that year.

Adams was drafted by the Tamp Bay Buccaneers fourth overall in the 2007 NFL Draft, and was traded to the Bears on October 16th, 2009.
