  • Make your All-Decade Team

Well as the final games of the NFL decade come to a end, there are a lot of things to look back on. Records were broken and dynasty's were built. But for fun, let's make a all decade team. There was with out a doubt, some of the best NFL players to ever play in the 2000s, and here is the ones I would have on my team.

    Offense

Quarterback: Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Brett Favre
Running Back: Ladainian Tomlinson, Shaun Alexander, Tiki Barber
Full Back: Mike Alscott, Lorenzo Neal
Wide Receiver: Randy Moss, Terrel Owens, Hines Ward, Marvin Harrison
    Tight End: Tony Gonzales
    Tackle: Walter Jones, Jonathan Ogden
    Guard: Alan Faneca, Steve Hutchinson
    Center: Jeff Saturday, Kevin Mawae

    Defence

Defensive End: Jason Taylor, Aaron Smith, Michael Strahan, Richard Seymour
Defensive Tackle: Kevin Willams, Shaun Rodgers, Warren Sapp
Linebackers: Ray Lewis, Tedi Bruschi, Derrick Brooks, Joey Porter, Zack Thomas
Cornerbacks: Champ Bailey, Ty Law, Ronde Barber, Charles Woodson, Al Harris
Safeties: Brian Dawkins, Ed Reed, John Lynch , Darren Sharper

    Special Teams

    Kicker: Jason Elam, David Akers
    Punter: Shane Lechler Todd Sauerbrun

    Thats a good list.

At QB I would substitute Drew Brees for Farve though. Farve best years were in the 90s, and Drew Brees is the BEST QB in the world right now, and the stats are there to back that up, and he has taken the Saints to the threshold now, no matter hom much the NFL is in love with Peyton.

And Todd Sourbutt at punter???!!! That is obviously a joke right?
    sigpicoh YEAH?

Thats the weird thing about the "all decade" teams. Some players were great but they played half in one decade and half in another so they'll get passed up, like Marshall Faulk. If you're talking about the 2000s, then Faulk really only had 2 great seasons and 1 good season. If you were talking about 95-2005, Faulk would probably be the #1 RB over that span.

Anyway all the lists look pretty good, although the homer Priest Holmes pick is a little much, but I'd put holmes in the top 4 of the decade though. He was awesome, but couldn't stay healthy. I always liked him even though he was on KC.
2 of the top 3 NFL QBs of all time have been Broncos
