The jets still have to be ready to go out and play them this week....see what im saying?

it may have been the wrong time but i fail to see how it was the wrong decision. If you think goin 16-0 is more important than winning a championship, your just plain crazy

Because, the colts are up in the third quarter, and if they don't sit their players and win, the jets probably don't even make the playoffs. Then the Colts wouldn't lose to the Jets in the AFC Championship (all hypothetical).

So if the Colts lose to the Jets this week it would look like a bad decision for letting the Jets come into the playoffs to begin with. That's how it sitting the players would be the wrong decision.

if you should be ready o go each and every week, why would you need to rest your players, then?

I don't care that the Colts rested their players. I get why you do it. But at the same time, I think it was the wrong decision. I think it SUCKED for the players and the fans. I know it pissed off the players themselves.

But if they lose it won't because they rested the players... however, if they win, it might be because they rested some players and let them get healthier.

Not at all. The Jets STILL had to beat two other teams before meetng up with the Colts. Its no more an embarrassment to them than it is for Cinci and San Diego.

The playoffs are much more important than going undefeated and any HC will tell you the same thing.

Everyone should remember 2005 when the Colts rested their players in week 15 against us and if I recall (could be wrong) the Broncos needed to win that last game to reach the playoffs. The following week the colts had us at home in a wild card game and destroyed us!

Like it or not, Peyton Manning is the man. Yes, I don't like it!

That decision bit them in the ass, NYJ beat them in the playoffs.

    Then they beat the Dolts.

Now can they beat the team that started it and ruined the perfect record?
This could get interesting!!!!!!! Should the Jets upset the Colts in the AFC title game (although Rex Ryan won't think it's an upset), it will be remembered that the Colts sat the starters in week 16 when it appeared the Colts were going to beat the Jets. Had the Colts won that game, the Jets would never have sniffed the playoffs.
