Titans quarterback Chris Simms was arrested in New York City early this morning for operating a motor vehicle while impaired by marijuana, the New York Post is reporting.

According to the report, Simms "was observed with red eyes, flushed face and slurred speech at around 2 a.m."

Simms spent Thursday morning getting booked and awaiting arraignment at Manhattan Criminal Court.

Simms is the second Titans quarterback to be arrested in less than a month; Vince Young got an assault citation in June for hitting someone at a strip club in Dallas.
I'd never expect him to smoke marijuana . Although slurred speech and a flushed face aren't really symptoms of marijuana ..

I guess Simms was used to Colorado's back-country mountain roads, those are the best . Probably pretty hard to find one in NYC.

Some of those back-country mountain roads have steep dropoffs.

              Chris Simms busted for dope?

I always thought Chris Simms kind of had it together, but it appears he may be in some hot water.

Tennessee Titans backup quarterback Chris Simms rejected a plea deal Friday after being charged with driving while high on marijuana, putting the case on track for a trial as soon as March....

Is anyone keeping a total on how many Broncos/Ex-Broncos are having issues with the law? Seems like a lot.

                I remembered when this happened.

I'm a huge Texas fan, and he got into a little trouble in Austin over this too.

They can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt he was smoking in the car. The state was hoping they could scare Simms into a plea, but now their just gonna get the case thrown out.

Well lucky for him he can get a lawyer. Without a lawyer, that 'beyond a reasonable doubt' argument doesn't hold up in court when it's you against the Cop.

I had to pay $100 for a modified muffler ticket because the cop flat out lied and said she could hear my car from 3 blocks away. Even though she pulled me over for something completely different and didn't tell me that my car was loud.

If it's his word against the cops, the judge will probably side with the cop because apparently their word against yours leaves no room for 'reasonable doubt.' What a joke... Anyways, he'll have a lawyer so it's a moot point. I just felt the need to vent.

A cop? A cop lied? Get right out of town!

Yeah, especially in most of the burbs here around Denver, counties and cities are hurting for money. A good friend of mine that works for Arapahoe County said they were told if you pull someone over, they do NOT leave without a fine or summons. No warnings.

Ya that sounds about right, it's ridiculous but what can ya do?

Next time I'll get a lawyer. It's not even the money, it's the principle.
