  • Dez Bryant didn't know rookie traditions

Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant said he didn't know about the tradition of carrying a veteran's shoulder pads, and said he will take care of the matter.

I'm just saying, there's almost no chance he didn't know. I mean has the guy been living under a rock his entire football career. This is like a tradition that goes down to high school level. His I didn't know, is more hilarious then Donovan not knowing a game could end in a tie.
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?
    I don't know and I don't care

They don't do it here in Jacksonville. It wouldn't suprise me if he didn't know. Riley Cooper said he don't even watch NFL football.

He sounds like he's got a victim's mentality. His response was pretty pathetic, IMO.

Well, his answer the other day was something like "I won't do it because I am here to play football and not to carry pads" instead of "I did not do it because I was not aware of such tradition". Excuses, excuses.

someone "talked" to him, and he's regretting it now...

His original statement was much better.. It made sense and some people were willing
to accept it.. This is just another pre-written excuse that is lame and just going
              through the motions.

And that person was probably Jerry Jones. "Son, I don't need this SHI* before you even see some competition. I love your attitude about being serious about football and hope it translates into a prosperous career for you here in Dallas. But for God's sake.......carry the F*&%#@G pads for a couple weeks. Thanks"

"I didn't know nothing about no tradition,"

Whatever Dez did at Oklahoma State, he certainly did not attend class. That is for sure.

I hate to laugh, but this is funny.

Dez is going to get it bad, what he was asked to do is relatively benign, but now, he's in for some trouble.

Yeah, from some of the stuff I've seen on Hard Knocks, that was NOTHING, I hope this soon to be prima-donna gets it...making our D.Thomas look like a better pick as the days go on...

Typical victim mentality. He is a moron - already acting like he's better than tradition and other players. I am so glad McDaniels drafted a character guy and not some prima donna (not surprising Dez was busted for hanging out with another prima donna).
