If you guys want to compare Moreno's mistakes to Hillis' mistakes you can check my post history because I have discussed that so many times I don't care to re-post it anymore. But the mistakes were very similar in their time on offense and so where there pass blocking, Moreno let up at least one very obvious sack on Orton to start the Ravens game, I can not remember one hillis let up because he was so seldomly even in the game to allow a sack in pass blocking at the RB position.

I root for Hillis and I'm trying to root for Quinn but I'm a much bigger fan of both Orton and Tebow. I seriously do not find anything good in Quinns play to this point.

It's still the preseason also, so until one of them does something big during the regular season then this debate isn't exactly going to be resolved.

I do think we gave away a smash-mouth football player in Hillis, but I accept that the Bronco's smarts guys will do what they think is best for the team - so I accept it...hate it, but accept it.

I think the kid has the mojo, and I hope he has a great career - I don't think he got a fair shake here for whatever reason.

      See sig.

He looked strong, really strong. Yes its preseason and yes its the rams but the kid was runnin through folks fighting for every inch. I don't care what anyone says how can any team not need that(I know we do). He is the epitome of a tuff, short yard, goaline back. That trade was ridiculous. Don't believe me... just ask yourself how will Hillis help the Browns and then how will Quinn help us? It remains to be seen but the answer is very obvious to me. This one (trade) upsets me to no end.

I will give McD his due when and if he deserves it but everytime Cutler,Marsh,Hillis and Scheff make a play i will curse his name LOUDLY

In other words, you're going to be in for a nice, quiet winter, especially based on last season's performances.

Reading this thread i just have no idea what Hillis did to get the hate of so many so called "true fans"

The dude was a warrior for us. Other RBs fumbled more then he did. Other RBs contributed more penalties then he did.

Can understand why people hate Cutler and Marshall but frankly Hillis does not deserve it.

When someone irrationally hates Hillis I think it is just as telling as those who irrationally hate McD.

On the topic of the trade that sent Hillis to Clev, it may end up being looked at as a bad trade one day but considering what Hillis meant to McD the trade was a no brainer for McD.

Think Hillis is a great player but he never would have gotten playing time in the Denver backfield...well he would have now with all the injuries but who can predict that.

Better to have a possible starting QB then a RB who the coach refuses to play any day.

Well said, I find it strange the thread was moved since it is a trade that definitely involves the denver broncos.

Regardless not much can be decided until the season starts and we see the value of both Quinn and Hillis when it counts most.

then it should go in the trades forum. as such, it is about a current cleveland browns player, peyton hillis, and does not belong in general discussions

Well, it includes the context of Quinn who is a Bronco player. It's also talking about our trade.

Personally, I can see it fitting in either forum. This one's fine though.

I never liked Hillis and never will.

He's a backup fullback in my book.

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

That's proof enugh for 1 year in Denver lol you guys might actually have a run game. I used to complain about this beast but then I watched him play and was sad that we lost a real star. Oh well, hopefully Moreno will have a breakout year.

                          Don't care for him.

He's a nobody. He's not a back to build a team around, so, he's worthless.

When Hardesty smokes a Lawyer Milloy calibur safety, then you can talk about worthless. Right now, all I see is a dude sittin on the sidelines.

You are absolutely right. A backup fullback will be sitting on the sidelines most of the time.

Hillis is one player I was sad to see go. But he would not be given a chance to compete here in Denver, given the investment made in Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter.

I hop Hillis tears it up in Cleveland. Good luck, white rhino
