Im sorry, but that seems odd to me, more then odd.

Again, I believe that McDaniels had every intention of moving Cutler the second he signed the contract to become head coach of the Denver Broncos.

    I truly believe that.
    TKH........

A lot of this is subjective, even my feelings about the Cutler situation. I used to like him, and even put up with some of the "confusing" stuff, like the stories I heard about his rudeness (may not be true), his speaking up when he thought he was part of the inner circle of management when choosing a new coach, his sulky appearance on many occasions, and on and on. I still wanted him here, and hoped that a deal could be made. It appears to me, that once he made up his mind, there was never going to be a deal.

And don't think that teams aren't trying to trade for quality players, especially when there is a change in management. Teams are always talking. And sure, maybe McDaniels had some concerns about Jay, maybe after their first meeting, maybe in his stats...who knows. Fact is, deals are discussed often, and this one got leaked pretty quickly.

Finally, I have no respect for a player who is above the Owner. If Jay did not return calls from the Owner, he is a punk and should have ben disciplined BIG TIME!!!

I don't hate Jay, but I just don't pull for him. The reason a lot of us appear to be haters, is that there are a lot of whiners out there, still crying about the deal. It just keeps making the issue a sensitive one, even when it doesn't need to be.

If we (me included) stopped talking about it, maybe we could move on. Sadly that won't be the case until we get a definitive answer....like us winning the SB before them, or maybe vice versa. Still won't mean anything, but someone will keep bringing it up......and no offense, but the anti Josh folks have a little bit to with that too.

I understand, it just seemed to me that one second he was a God around here and everybody loved him, and the second he's gone he is some horrible person that became this boards personal punching bag.

I agreed in other posts that he never should have not returned Pat's calls, THAT was totally uncalled for.

I just think that a young talented player who was the face of this franchise took it very personal that his team was trying to shop him behind his back, and whether or not he should or shouldn't take offense to that, I see why he did.

I am not one of those who is still bitter about the trade, I was very, very upset about it when it went down, and my posts at that time reflected my feelings on the matter. I am very happy about the way things have turned out, the way that Kyle has stepped up and become the QB that I didn't think he could be, but by the same token, I still root for Jay and probably always will, if for nothing else then making those who run their mouth about him in such a derrogatory way put a sock in it.......

Well Cutler is gone to Chicago. So at least he is out of the Broncos and fans hair.

It's certainly possible; but lots of players get "shopped around." It's part of the game.

It's also possible that after Tampa contacted Denver and NE, that the word got out about that and another team or two may have called. But as far as I know, only Tampa approached Denver prior to Jay demanding to be traded. If that's true, then Cutler is either incredibly thin-skinned/huge-egoed, or he wanted out the "second McDaniels signed his contract."

Honestly, I think it's more likely that Cutler wanted out than that McD wanted to get rid of him. But who, other than Jay Cutler, knows? He certainly didn't make any effort to move past it.

Of course, that's how Denver got Elway, right? He demanded to be traded from Baltimore. So what goes around...
          Respect...it's earned, not given.

Uh, they are winning games though...so that kind of defeats your argument.
