Guess I should be hating after an embarrassing 59-point slap in the face from the Raiders.

Just makes me want to love Orton and Mcdaniels so much more.

The defenses are getting insane pressure on the QB but the drops Wash is putting on the turf and some of the dumb mistakes Knox is making is driving me crazy.

Neither QB is playing good at all. I know both are playing in a new system but man these offenses look ugly today.

edit - Cutler and Knox are making D. Hall looking like the best CB in the NFL...4 picks by him alone today...UGLY
Knox stopped on his route at least three times because he was afraid to get hit; thus the interception happens.

Rough time to be a Bronco fan. Shanahan took a franchise with absolutely no direction, and has them playing consistent football, competing for a playoff spot. We just got completely beat down by the one team that we should not be completely beat down by.

The one bright spot is that Cutler and Knox just got hoed out by Deangelo Hall. Good thing Chicago hired Martz. Now they have a ready made scapegoat, and they don't have to fire Smith.

Who knows what Cutler could've done in the current broncos offense

He ran a pretty similar offense (spread concepts but with a zone-blocking OL) when Bates was running the offense in 2008, so I think he would have been more than successful. That's why I thought it was beyond stupid that Bates wasn't retained. He and Shanahan adapted the NE spread offense into the traditional Denver offense. There's no reason McDaniels couldn't have added his concepts on top of that playbook the way Tomlin did with his cover-2 concepts and the Pittsburgh 3-4.
Hoping for a defensive-minded head coach and a return to the ZBS on offense. At the very least, no more cheaters for head coach.

Yup we were almost mirroring the NE offense with Royal and Stokely in between. The only difference is Shanahan had a powerful running game that NE never had.

Now we're 32nd in running pffft
