    Missed the game winning kick.

    Got lucky there, 4-7 now.

I find it funny how the media reacts. The Browns are a "great team" because they barely lost to "good teams" and beat a few "good teams". I bet you they will ignore that the Browns won by 1 point against a 1 win team.
lol we lost to a 1 win team....

Wanna trade? I rather lose by a point than get destroyed every freakin week. At least you guys contend.

Delhomme's agent should win an award because the dude is a beast in contract talks.

Man, glad to see you have some humor in this. Jake frustrates me. I feel bad, because he is an awful QB. Hoping he can improve, I hate Clausen, no Ws for him.

Wow, Delhomme is doing a great job in keeping this game in reach for the Panthers.

But, just a reminder for all of you, he doesn't play for the Panthers anymore. He must have missed the memo...

Good, this means that Hillis will get a lot of carries and my fantasy team will win again.

Tough break you guys can't keep a QB healthy this year! Actually I just realized Delhome will be going against his further team that's cool! I think you guys got this one regardless who is at QB. The Panthers are awfull and it's in Cleveland just give it to Hillis all day long he will run all over the Panthers.

  • With McCoy injured; Delhomme to start vs Panthers

    LINK

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Colt McCoy didn't practice Wednesday because of a high ankle sprain that might keep him out of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.

McCoy sustained the sprain during last Sunday's loss at Jacksonville. Browns coach Eric Mangini said the team isn't at the point of ruling McCoy out this week, but veteran Jake Delhomme will receive the majority of practice snaps with Cleveland's starting offense.

If McCoy can't play, and it appears he will be out at least one week, Mangini said he's leaning toward starting Delhomme against the Panthers. Delhomme spent seven seasons with Carolina before being waived and signing as a free agent by the Browns (3-7).

"Jake will get the bulk of the reps and that's the way I'm leaning right now," Mangini said. "I think his familiarity with Carolina is a real plus. Obviously, I have faith in Seneca (Wallace) as well, but both those guys I'm comfortable with playing."

Delhomme suffered a high ankle sprain in the opener, re-injured it Oct. 10 and hasn't played since. His practice reps with the first team have been limited, but his knowledge of the Panthers' defense should be helpful, Mangini said.

"Working against this defense for a long time, there are things that he will probably see that we haven't seen because he saw it in OTAs, he saw it in training camp, he saw it in game film and he's been a part of that," Mangini said. "With that being said, they will probably bring some things that he hasn't seen, but he has also got familiarity with a lot of the personnel, more personnel than we do. We are doing more of a one-game prep, he was there."

McCoy has started the Browns' past five games, leading them to a 2-3 record.

"He's better, better than he was, determined," Mangini said. "He really hasn't had an injury where he's missed any kind of practice or anything along those lines, so this is a little bit of new ground for him in terms of what he's told me. ... We've just got to see where it goes towards the end of the week."

Several other Browns won't practice Wednesday, Mangini said. The list includes linebackers Eric Barton (thigh) and Scott Fujita (knee), defensive lineman Shaun Rogers (ankle), defensive backs Mike Adams (abdomen) and Eric Wright (knee), tight end Ben Watson (ankle) and wide receiver/return specialist Josh Cribbs (foot).

Mangini said Barton, Watson, Adams and Rogers have the best chance of playing Sunday.
