  • Guess where the rumors put Josh now?

We have heard allot of talk about our former head coach, there was the Raiders, and the 49ners, plus the Chiefs.

But now the rumors lead him to the Vikings.

    Thoughts on this?

I think it might work for the Vikings, there do need help on offense, and Josh is a master at offense.

I think they just need a QB. Kyle Orton would fit that offense perfectly. He is very capable of playing like Favre did last year.

Darrell Bevell is doing just fine in Minny.

Right I'm sure their fans would be excited to see him play.

          Yeah, they've seen him play.
They wont be happy, plus the rookie fans are gonna go, "OOOh we got Orton, that guy was a beast with denver"

While I understand people in the league respect McD's knowledge there are a couple things that I think would not intigrate well.

            1) AP- if anything they need to lean on their running game while developing a young QB. McD took ours from upper half of the league to almost dead last. Whether it was because of change of scheme or personnel is debateable (IMO it was both) but in Shannahans last year here there was talk we had the best young up and coming O line in the league. In any case, this doesn't bode well for AP.

            2) Weather. I know the Vikings currently have a dome stadium but everyone knows the owner wants a new open/outdoor stadium. He even went out of his way this year to say that's the kind of football he wants to get back to. The high flying pass happy attack is not real condusive to this.
