Jets and their salary cap???

Just a question guys... Shouldn't the Jets be far over their salary cap? Look at some HUGE names they have signed.

They have huge names.. all of them really expensive dudes.. How do they manage to afford all these guys???

Cromartie- FA after this year
LT- 2 year deal
Pryce- 1 year deal
Edwards- FA after this year
Holmes- FA after this year
Taylor- 1 or 2 year deal
Harris- FA after this year

Jets are going for it all this year. Should be interesting who they keep and who goes.

Guys like LT, Jason Taylor, Pryce, didn't sign for the $, but for a chance at a SB. They're not making that much.

The other guys you mentioned outside of Sanchez, Revis & Mangold, aren't making that much cuz they're later draft picks or still on a previous rookie contract or at the tail end of it.

They'll have trouble re-signing many of them I think.

There isn't a salary cap anymore. They spend as much money as they want on players. It's just not a good idea to spend more than you make and as noted in earlier posts, a lot of their players are going to be Free Agents at the end of the season and they may have trouble signing them all.

Its all or nothing for the Jets this year, when the salary cap returns next year when all of their guys are FA they're done for.
