  • Anyone else notice the Bills with Dareus?

The Bills are a team that were every bit as bad as this team last year. Their defense was gaawd awful. They dont exactly have a franchise QB in Fitzpatrick. They looked totally dynamic on defense. I know the Chiefs.

Going on the road to KC in a seaosn opener cannot be easy.

I will be keeping an eye on that all year, just to see if the Broncos made a mistake in passing on Dareus.

    Right now......

Bills have pulled out ahead of the Broncos in that.

yeah but the chiefs have made a habit out of getting blown out since around mid season last year

also cassel had been hurt the week before (brilliant move by the way, haley)

the chiefs ran for 100 yards on only 18 carries as a team, but fumbles by mccleon and charles didn't help

dareus had 2 tackles, and eric berry is out for the season by the way, as is moeaki

I hear you. However lets keep in mind that it was the Bills. It would be one thing if it was the Pats blowing them out.

The Bills were a 4-12 team. They traded one of their better WRs in Lee Evans.

Their OL is not good. The Chiefs are horrible too. Not saying they arent. But right now, the Bills are in the lead in regard to what the Broncos passed and what the Bills drafted.

It will be something to keep and eye on. As of right now, the Bills are in front.

I dont think I am the only one thinking that you build a defense from the inside out. You solidify the DL before getting OLBs.

The Buccaneers drafted Sapp before they drafted Brooks. I think I will love Von Miller, but this is something Iwill be keeping an eye on.

Any team would have blown out the Chiefs in that game. I saw some of the game and they played like straight garbage. Matt C. was an embarrassment to the QB position, more-so than Orton was.

Dareus was my choice, hands down. But I don't think EFX blew it by not drafting him, only because there were still very good DTs available with our other picks, we just didn't want to draft one.

When you look at the fact that Marvin Austin and Stephen Paea fell right in our laps, there's just no way anybody can be mad about not taking Dareus. We had our chances to draft borderline 1st rd picks in the 2nd rd, and we blew it. And even if we didn't draft Austin or Paea in the 2nd rd, we still had a chance to draft Jerrel Powe (1st rd lock before the weight lost) Ian Williams, and Chris Neild (Stud NT in WV 3-4) in the later rds, and we still chose not to spend a draft pick on one of these guys. So i'll never be mad that we didn't take Dareus, but it'll take me a while to forgive them for not drafting the other available DTs.

feel the same way. Miller played great last night.

Yep, i wanted Dareus too, but i'm not upset with Miller, he's a game-changer..

Can't disagree with the 2nd part that we had like 3-4 chances to take another DT, but went elsewhere.

I just hope we finally take one or two in this draft, if not now, when?

I noticed the Broncos with Mitch Unrein and it was not pretty. But the Broncos could have upgraded the DT position even without Marcell Dareus. They did not draft any DT. They tried with Ty Warren and Brodrick Bunkley. When Warren and Marcus Thomas suffered their injuries, the team should have signed more veterans to save the depth chart. Drafting Von Miller with the 2nd overall pick does not mean you should ignore the DT position and let Ryan McBean and Unrein play against the 2nd best running game from 2010. You can't make a final roster with McBean and Unrein and tell us that things will be different in 2011.

EDIT: And I forgot to mention Kevin Vickerson. You have build depth at DT to make Vickerson a #4 DT at best. Give him just a few snaps if necessary to keep the other guys fresh. He can't be a starter or be a big part of the rotation. Vickerson, McBean, Unrein. Run at will. Cedric Benson (if he is not in jail) will run over these guys. Get used to it.

Dareus is an absolute stud. As a huge college football fan and NFL draft fan, I try to watch as many as the big time prospects as I can.

I couldn't believe Dareus lasted until #3. Von Miller will be an excellent player and Cam Newton will be a nice QB, but Dareus is an absolute game changer out there.

Granted, the Chiefs suck besides Jamaal Charles. Matt Cassel is going to do his best all season to show he's nothing more than Kyle Orton Jr.

Kansas City will be good in 3 years...with Andrew Luck.

Bills were not as bad as this team last year ... if you think that then you didn't watch any of their games last year. The only thing we have better is a receiving core ... but even that is in question now. Im saying it now, Bills are making the playoffs. Bold prediction? Yes but they have a solid running game, a QB who keeps getting better, Johnson is an upcoming WR. Defense isn't horrible, and lastly if C.J Spiller lives up to half of his draft hype he and jackson will be a great duo.

Like the Miller pick, and think he will be the better player down the road, but still think we should have drafted Dareus.

Bills look like the broncos Monday night. Even w/ dareus they're getting killed by the McFadden and Bush combo
