The Panthers need to run the freakin ball. While I find Newton to be talented, I think it is just too early for them to be relying on him to keep them in the game.

They can't run the ball though. Stewart/Williams have 8 yards on 9 carries. They aren't getting anywhere.

he fizzled because all the panthers do is rely on him. is great and all. but you gotta run the ball 2 to give him a break. He is a rookie and at least they start their #1 picks while he have neckbeard playing for us

it has to be more than 7 snaps in his entire life and i can say with absolute certainty that cam looks way better than tebow dropping back and in the pocket, it isn't even close.

if you honestly think that doesn't factor into him struggling to learn to be a viable drop back passer in the NFL, then i don't think you know what you are talking about.

What's happening here is that Cam is being given a chance (unlike Tebow) because he only had to beat out Clausen, not a 7 yr vet like Orton. Not to mention...he was the #1 overall pick. They couldn't really sit him.

Quinn beat Tebow. This stupid argument that Tebow is awful because Tebow can't beat out the awful Brady Quinn is ludicrous. Quinn played like a spry veteran in preseason, Quinn was hungry and looked good. Nothing Tebow did demoted him to 3rd string or Co 2nd string. It had everything to do with Quinn.
