  • Chicago Bears....Who's Picking Their Players????

I am not a Jay Cutler fan, although I was when we drafted him........just didn't like some things that happened along the way. BUT I will give the guy credit for taking a beating in Chicago and still bouncing back for more. The man is tough!

But what is the Chicago management team doing to strengthen this team? Acquiring Peppers last year was a smart maneuver, because anyone could see that this is a Hall of Fame player, who still has a motor. But what of the Oline and Receiver group....you know, the players who will make their Offence move, along with Cutler? Sure, they've made some moves (Carimi for one), but clearly they have done little to improve one of the most porous olines in football. And as for WRs, would we want any of their starters??? Hester is not a true WR. Williams has been ordinary at best. Knox is pretty good, considering where he was drafted. But overall, these guys are not that good. (And why did they move Cutler's TE bud to Carolina??)

Whatever it is the Chicago brass is doing, they better hope that their amazing D does not age too quickly, because otherwise they may drop down the division for years to come. Yes, even I'm going to say it......give Cutler some help!!! Otherwise Forte is going to wear down as the season progresses.

    Too late, it's already happened.

And it's Forte that needs the help...that man IS the Bears offense.

You're so right bud, Forte is doing everything......and with the same weak oline. I can't see him playing at this level for the whole year. Even so, it will shorten his career at some point.

They have spent all of their early round picks on the trenches. That's good and all, but you've got to put a supporting cast around Cutler when you invest that much in him.

The only good receiving threat they had got shipped out of town because Martz doesn't know how to use a TE. What do they have now? They've got a few guys that MIGHT be decent #2's or #3's, but absolutely no #1's.

You know your team is in trouble when your best WR is Dane Sanzenbacher (sp?)

Cutler does not have one talented WR or TE

It's come to that......Martz has lost some glow.....I can hear him now, "Ok Cutler, I've given you all my coaching, now make it happen!!"

One more thing....maybe Cutler should throw high arc passes to Hester, like the way a punt or kick flies. Maybe he's not used to those low fastballs from Jay!!

The O-Line can't protect and he has a bunch of Wr2's and WR3'S. He has no big threat at WR or TE. It's sad too because Cutler appears to have matured as a QB... his footwork is better and he's making much smarter decisions with the football.

Give him time to throw the football and a legit #1 WR and that team would be a lot better - especially with Forte as their RB.

He arced one to Hester last night on a go route, and Hester alligator armed it. Should have been a TD. Cutler read blitz and launched that sucker almost immediately. It was a perfect throw. It might have been a hot route, because Hester definitely knew the ball was coming the whole time. I can't believe how well Cutler played last night. He is definitely a better quarterback than he was in Den.

At this point, force the Bears to throw the ball and it's over. If they can mix run and pass efficiently, they can win games. When the defense gets fooled and abused like last night, the Bears have no chance. And I agree, Sanzenbacher (sp? and I'm an OSU fan) is their best receiver right now. WTH happened to Roy Williams between his rookie year and now? Dude is terrible.

I just think the situation Cutler has found himself in is awful and is really going to stunt his growth as a QB. He might never be the guy he could've been in this league. I was a huge fan of his potential when he was here in Denver and it's such a shame to see what he's being asked to work with in Chicago. You'd think being paired with a RB like Forte would be great, but sadly it's not enough when he's their only playmaker.

Yep, they need to go back to using Hester strictly as a returner. He has had at least 3 years of trying to show he can be a receiver and has not shown the ability to perform in that role. All this WR experiment has done has slowed down his TD return record #'s.

The Chicago Bears best wide out is their running back.

I feel sorry for Cutler, I liked him when he was a Bronco and was one of the people upset he was traded. However I'm not a fan, his TD/INT ratio is better, and he really isn't getting wins.

Which isn't his fault, he has literally 1 person to throw the ball too, in which is the same person he has to hand the ball too(Forte).

The defense is old, with no young talent. In the near future, the "great Bears defense", will no longer exist.

The offensive line has to be the second worst in the NFL only under the Steelers.

The Bears have the worst WR corps in the NFL. Eron Riley can go to the Bears and out preform the entire WR group.

                      That team is just sad.

Can't believe they didn't go after Ryan Harris when we let him walk.

There was some talent to be had and they just didn't grab it. Now there isn't any to grab.

Cutler is completely wasted talent on that team.

I don't like Cutler much, but it seems he'd be better suited here, and Tebow in Chicago to scramble in circles while the OLine sits down every play...

The best wide out in Chicago is pitching for the Cubs.

Martz is going to get Cutler killed, which is a shame because Cutler finally seems to be coming into his own. He has played very well considering he gets hit every single play and only has one legitimate receiving option, his RB.

If Martz wasn't so stubborn, he would see that the Bears could probably fix their woes with a west coast offense.

Get the ball to Forte more, and have a lot shorter routes and short drops. Get Hester involved in a lot of screens.

That o-line coach must be a fan of swiss cheese with the amount of traffic that breaks through it.

thats pathetic, their WRs are a joke as is the TE position (why they traded Olsen ill never know) and their OL absolutely got abused monday night
