Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I stand by my opinion that Peyton Manning is the best quarterback in the history of the NFL. I don't think I've ever seen/will ever see a cerebral QB that has the type of throw velocity, accuracy, and pocket presence that Peyton Manning has. He's the best pure pocket passer ever.
(Don't flame me because I went against Elway. He's my #2)
That right there is the honest truth.
But how do we go about defining who's best? I mean, Brady has perfected areas of his game whereas Manning is not as good, but if we're talking overall, Manning is the better candidate.
Same deal with Montana and Elway. Overall, all bias aside, Elway is the better candidate. Imho, Manning and Elway are the two greatest if you look at pure talent and skill set. I'm not even gonna guess how many rings they would have with the kinda roster Montana had during his run in SF.
I misplaced my vote btw, it's on Brady but should have been on Manning.
there's no I in team, therefore it's stupid to act as if there is
You said this was stupid:
Well if you ask me and a hell of a lot of other people they will say that team without Manning is a 4 win team. Yes I am assuming that but they are a bad football team and without Manning they are not a regular playoff team year in year out
Manning does it all for that football team. He is the reason they are playoff contenders.

Well Peyton is the reason they are there every year. Is that really wrong. You are saying that is wrong.
that's stupid though John, peyton does not do it all for the football team
he doesn't catch the passes , he doesn't play defense
you're not a stupid guy, but you said a stupid thing, it's ok

we've all done it before lol
Technically he doesn't but come on now. How are you defending this still. They are showing they are nothing without him and that without Peyton they are not a playoff team. What I said was not stupid. How many wins they got this year ?

aside from the titans and saints game, they've actually showed me they know how to throw games
i mean blowing a 17-0 lead vs kc....that's got suck for luck written all over it
down by 3 vs cincy and over 2 minutes left and the colts wr throws the ball backwards to a bengal player as if it was a lateral free for all play ....when the 2 minute warning hasn't even been hit yet?
something fishy is going on in indy......
it's right up there with miami going for 2 for no good reason.....very peculiar

I don't think anyone is throwing games at all. They are just not good football teams. Peyton Manning is the reason that the Colts are a regular playoff football team. Without him they were always going to suck and be fighting for the tittle of the worst football team in the league.

that's a fair statement
as i would suggest the same could be said about MOST qbs whom a team would call their franchise qb
a huge factor in indy's organization as well, was mistakingly building a team around one person (small oline designed for a qb with a quick release, but that allows the run game to suffer)

I think the Colts organisation gets a pass for that. When you have a guy like Manning who has never missed a game in so long and is still playing at an elite level I think it is fair to get a little complacent however there QB situation is awful. They should have developed someone. I think they wanted to do that with Painter but he is just awful. Will Manning ever be back to full strength. No idea but the Colts fan base better hope so or they are in for a long road of disaster for their football team.
There is no i in team, but there's obviously an i in p.manning since he's able to take a pathetic colt team to the playoff yr after yr. P.manning>brady while colt<<<patriot. btw jc, i totally disagree with you about the colt sucking for luck theory; the players do have pride, they are just bad that's all.
