Goodell is really ruining the game. For a very long time I have been defending this guy and I seriously think that you should care about the players safety in the first place; but this game is nothing of what it once was... Heck, even a few years ago this was so much better.

Some of the safety rules im ok with. I understand they dont want these players being crippled like the old ones are. However im disgusted by how much they favor qbs. This used to be a team game where the qb was the leader.

Now its just a game of who has the better qb wins. There needs to be rule changes that favor the defense as well. Not all of these changes are made for safety reasons, many are made because people want to see teams put up 40 or 50 points every week.

Bring defense back to the nfl please!

I hate the Chargers - but that call was a joke! I mean, what is the defender supposed to do? Stop defending?? It's ridiculous! What's next? Penalty for "Rushing the Quarterback"? Or a penalty for "Forcing a fumble?" This is getting waaay outta control!

It is what it is, can't hit a QB, can't hit very hard, or many other things, just the way Goodell wants it.

I've learned to accept it, and move on.

It's ironic to me that at the same time the league is trying to promote knowledge and emphasis on player safety (even before MNF they had a segment on concussions and how one of the SD Lineman had a concussion then later on the flight home had a seizure) -in the same game, the play happens and the guys in the booth mock it and say it's rediculous.

Those guys are getting paid good money to put their bodies at risk and I'm sure any one of us on this board would trade their lives for the lives NFL players have. The game got here because it was what it was. Why keep changing things? Let the game happen Goodell then get out of the way please
