  • Patriots sign CB Nate Jones

Patriots signed CB Nathan Jones, formerly of the Dolphins.
He replaces Phillip Adams, who was waived Monday despite playing 51 snaps in Sunday's win over the Eagles. Jones will be fourth on the depth chart behind Devin McCourty, Kyle Arrington and Antwaun Molden. Although Jones has experience in the slot, his signing isn't likely to eliminate the Pats' need to occasionally use WR Julian Edelman at nickel back.

Our chances of beating NE just got better.

I think it is probably a way to try to get some kind of info on our team, since Brady and Bill can't beat us.

So that should be a big game passing for Tebow and lets see Thomas or Royal in the slot??

LOL... I wondered what was up with them. They released another corner yesterday... they have Edilmen(sp?) playing DB.. that secondary is so bad Nate Jones MIGHT be an improvement..

I bet they are missing Willhite right about now.I wouldn't be surprised if Deion Branch played CB and WR this Sunday.

I would. Branch is already injury prone, if you ask him to play both ways, he'll end up on IR. I bet they miss CB Darius Butler (2nd rd pick in 09)

Now the Pats got a great secondary with Jones. It's like signing Darrelle Revis. Bellichick knows what he's doing! Maybe this will make Devin McCourty expandable.

Omg we better attack him allllll freakin day when we play them!!! I'm serious attack the HELL outta him...like every single pass!

If he even makes it to our game lol idk if Belicheck lets it go on so long like Mcdummy

Although how did he make the team in the first place ...major stupid decision by a smart man

This move will really shore up that last ranked defense.

                            Probably.

Interesting move, since we're not at all the same team as we were when Nate was here.

Yeah, this was strictly to pick up info on our defense. They have no interest in playing Jones or keeping him on the squad for anything more than a warm body.
