  • Jaguars New Owner Shahid Khan

Said in an interview that if he was the Owner in 2010, he would've drafted Tim Tebow. Khan is a business man, and he believes that the buzz Tebow creates around the world would've been great for Jacksonville.

NO I DO NOT HAVE A LINK. IF YOU KNOW ME, YOU KNOW MY WORD IS GOOD. But if you want to, you can go to 1010XL.com, get the number off of their website, and call to confirm this bit of info if you want to. But I will do my best to find a report. 1010XL is a local Sports Talk Station here in Jacksonville.

Moving along now. If Tebow lose the starting Job in TC, and if Gabbert still sucks by the trade deadline, maybe Jacksonville pull the trigger on a trade for Tebow.

Could I forsee that happening no not really, but like with the cutler situation anything is possible.

It coud very well happen. If Tebow is on the bench here, and Gabbert stinks in Jax, I can see the Jags fans chanting for Tebow. Now, that depends on what backup they bring in for Gabbert, i've heard KO name floating around a little bit.

I think a good amount of free agent QBs could beat out tebow in camp. They have a good arm and can make proper reads then they will look better. And if they put that into play during the pre season games then they will probably have themselves a starting job. He should be able to beat out every free agent QB we can realistically get. But leading up to the pre season games I wouldnt be surprised if he was being out played by the competition.

Ok well if in your scenario we get someone who comes in and is winning it wouldnt be a big deal as they say ' winning fixes everything '

realistically however I don't really forsee this scenario unless something major happens.

maybe, though not sure that matters until the regular season, as we would have a repeat of last season. I really don't think thatll happen regardless unless we get some sort of marquee quarter back like a LUCK or someone of that nature. I just dont see that happening

I mean if we get someone better awesome I just dont see us in a position for that to happen right now

Here's 7 QBs that I know are FAs that could beat Tebow in camp.

                      Matt Flynn
                      Brady Quinn
                      Vince Young
                      Drew Stanton
                      Josh Johnson
                      David Garrard
                      Dennis Dixon

and then we are right back at square one we were at last year. I dont see any of those guys (maybe flynn I haven't made my mind up about that) coming in and really making our franchise any better. We have a guy who what looks better in practice and now what we start the season and what happen if we start to lose games every one demands tebow.

If they trade him before the season which they would have to do the fans would revolt because none of those QBs are leading us to much better of a record then Tebow would have done.

and if they keep Tebow and he does come in after being beat out one of two things happens he wins games and we are again back in the same position we are now or b) he fails at life and hes not worth anything heh.

I don't know I just dont see how this happens unless we pick up a true franchise QB

So all in all, we might as well sell the farm for Luck :thumb: I just think with Khan comments, Jax trading for Tebow could be realistic.

Well yes in that situation I could see Tebow getting shipped off, but short of something like that happening can't see it.

If Tebow get's outplayed in Camp and lose the starting spot, AND EFX don't believe in him, period. Then he can be traded. I don't think we have to have a "Franchise" QB in place to trade Tebow. Why would we need a "Franchise" QB in place in order to trade Tebow? At that point it would be obvious that Tebow isn't the Franchise, so we'd just ride that possible "Stop Gap" QB until we get one here.
