agreed.. but even if they were to win a couple more superbowls somebody will always say, yeah but coughlin/eli were better than they were...and how can you argue?

If Brady/Belichick were to win another Super Bowl they would be hands down the best just by going to 6 Super Bowls and winning 4. Getting to six Super Bowls as a head coach or as a starting QB is an amazing feat no matter how you look at it and winning 4 of them would tie the best that any coach or starting QB has ever done. Unless Coughlin and Eli win at least one more Super Bowl, they'll never be mentioned as one of the greatest coach/qb pairing. Just winning 2 in 8 seasons together doesn't get you there.

Coughlin and Eli aren't even in the running, regardless of them winning the 2 Super Bowls, so they wouldn't be brought up as better except by people that hate the Pats. If Coughlin and Eli had a 20-5 record against Belichick and Brady and just owned them year after year, it would be different or if Coughlin and Eli won 3 or 4 Super Bowls together it would be different. For now, they aren't in the discussion for best coach/QB combo, so that argument that they are better than Belichick and Brady is pointless.

Brady/Belichick and their 3 Super Bowl wins AND their 5 Super Bowl appearances, and their most wins of any coach/QB in NFL history, and all the team passing and individual passing records the Pats broke during the Brady/Belichick era, and the fact that both of them are already first-ballot HOFers as is make them much better than Eli/Coughlin's two Super Bowl wins. There is no head to head for Brady and Eli. They don't play defense against each other, so head to head comparisons don't matter with them or any other 2 QBs that play each other's team.

Brady/Belichick have a huge resume that puts them in the argument.

Eli/Coughlin have 2 Super Bowl wins and that's it so far.

I agree with BroncosSB#3, if Brady/Belechik make it again, and win one, very possible.

Winnable division, AFC is declining, lot of draft picks, probably get Lloyd since he's tied with McDaniels among other things.

Make 6 SB's, win 4, 2 of the losses were close.

Yes, i'd say it's the best coach/QB duo all-time as well.

Seems like Belichick got out coached anyway:
