  • Nick Fairley arrested...

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports Lions DT Nick Fairley was arrested Tuesday on a second degree marijuana possession charge.
Fairley was arrested just after noon following a citizen complaint. The franchise has now seen its first- and second-round picks from last season arrested for marijuana possession in consecutive days. As this was Fairley's first known offense, he is unlikely to land in as much hot water as Mikel Leshoure.

    Per rotoworld...

Makes the Von Miller pick look that much better.

I'm glad we didn't trade up for Fairley.

I don't personally find this charge to be a big deal, I'm actually quite surprised he was arrested but that probably has to do with him being well known

He'll also probably get off easy because he is known

Not a big issue to me but these guys need to realize they aren't normal people anymore. There are kids looking up to them and they're public images representing a large organization.

I think second degree possession is he probably had about less than 1/2 an ounce for personal use, not to sell

That makes a little more sense.

though wouldn't that just be possession without intent to sell.

Yeah but then that would make sense and making sense just isn't something we do

Don't forget about Charles Rodgers getting in trouble again a few days ago

The charge itself isn't serious, nor does it make Fairley a problematic person.

It really is only a problem if he keeps getting busted.

Big deal or not, rules are rules and he needs to make sure not to break them.
