  • Do COLTS have motivation to win Sunday?

So not sure if the Colts have any motivation to win vs. Texans this Sunday and help us get #1 seed. To me the #1 seed is all important as I do not want to see Brady and Patriots as our first playoff game. However, Pagano has come out and said they are playing to win...thoughts?

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Colts coach Chuck Pagano beat the traffic and the blizzard Wednesday morning.

Now all he wants to do is beat the Texans.

After spending the last three months battling leukemia, Pagano wasn't going to let the snowiest day of the year slow down this week's work schedule.

Instead, Pagano arrived early, met with the team and strolled onto the team's indoor practice field for a short morning walkthrough - his first on-field appearance since beginning the first of three rounds of chemotherapy treatments Sept. 26. He was scheduled to run the team's full practice Monday afternoon.

And despite having the fifth seed in the AFC playoffs locked up, Pagano says he will play to win Sunday against Houston - meaning all of his uninjured starters will play.

Put it this way if the Raiders came into OUR house looking to grab the #1 seed do you think this franchise would lay down and allow it? I think not.

Same thing here, the Colts hate the texans and vice versa

Having Pagano back will be a major motivator and inspiration for that team. I predict they will play hard. I won't predict a win, but that would be sweet.

I actually think they will win, but Denver needs to focus on KC their going to play really hard to beat us.

I agree, they will be looking for a spark to feel somewhat better about themselves going into the off season.

All this season has been about ChuckStrong and if this is his first game back then they will play as hard as they've ever done this season.

They might as well try to win this one, because they might not make it past Raven or at worst (if they lose to Miami after seeing the Broncos beat KC and decide to give starters some rest) the PATS: the to the PATS playing the Colts will be like having a bye week.

The Real AFC championship will be 1 round early this year.

Of course they do. Pagano said it isn't in the team to let up, and considering its his first game back from cancer, they won't let up.

Houston as been struggling against mediocre teams as of late.It will be hard beating Indy in Indy.Luck gets rookie of the year for sure if he beats the Texans.

The game is divisional, in Indy and with their HC back. The Colts lost to the Texans a few weeks back and will want to get them back. The Colts also know they will need momentum going into the playoffs and this is their last game before the post-season starts. So yes the Colts have plenty to play for, not to mention pride.

I agree with most posters. With getting their head coach back...wow!!!!......now that's motivation. I expect a solid game by Luck and Co.

(its funny how the Colts love to help the Broncos)

ENOUGH SAID ^^^^^^^ We only need to worry about handling our nightmare that awaits us.

Always easy to get motivated and ready to beat a good team; KC any day is a good club and with nothing left to win - How would beating us at home for our number one & two spot play out in KC - Winning their own SB

Colts will show up and they certainly have a reason to WIN; they would face them again in two weeks barring they win the first game. You don't want to roll into Houston with two straight losses to them

Yes they will play to win. They have lots of reason(s) to be motivated, but so do the Texans. This isn't a one-sided scenario. Do you think Houston, who's had the #1 seed all but locked up for 8 games, wants to suddenly slip to 3 by losing to a team they thought they FINALLY shook off when Peyton Manning skipped town?

Sure they do. A young team headed into the playoffs wants to keep things clicking. They want momentum. Beating the Texans would help.
