  • The Jets' Thanksgiving Day Game against the Patriots

I have started a little football blog about the Broncos. I started watching football last year and have been learning the game by watching the Broncos every week. I have a question about Mark Sanchez, though.

During that game, he committed what everyone is now calling a "butt fumble." Is it being called that because he fell and slid on his butt quite a distance, resulting in a turnover and touchdown for the Patriots? Or, is it called a butt fumble because he ran into his own teammate's derrier? Or is it both?

I guess it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, but since I am writing a blog about that week in the NFL in particular, I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Much thanks for your help and being good sports with all my questions.

    Joyfully,
    The Minx

They are calling it the butt fumble because he ran into his own teammates butt. And it was hilarious.

That an official stat? Butt-Fumble-Return-Yards(BFRY's) and TD's?

                Huh??

Footballs slip out of players hands probably every year.

What Mark Sanchez did was on it's own level.
