  • Fired Coaches Landing spots?

    Thought it might be fun to look into our crystal balls and predict where the now unemployed head coaches may land and if youd like who will land in their spots. Il try an cp all the correct ones

    My guesses ==

    Reid= San Diego hc
    Smith=Buffalo hc
    McCoy = Chicago hc
    Norv= Dallas oC

    Top three I agree with, but I think Norv ends up in Indy if Arians gets a HC job.

      If McCoy goes to Chicago that'd be lovely. They'd replace the Lions as the bottom dwellers in that division.

        Why is that? I really have very little knowledge of what McCoy has done, other than him working with the likes of Delhomme, Orton, and Tebow making them better QB's........that and having the good sense to stay out of P. Manning's way.

          McCoy would actually make a pretty good HC IMO (this coming from a McCoy hater). As long as he doesn't call the plays.

                  I think Del Rio will stay with the Broncos. I actually believe he is the teams next head coach when Fox steps down. As I said in many other threads. Elway said during the search for a D.Coord, that he wanted someone who wasn't one and done. I believe Del Rio will stay unless a very good door opens. San Diego isn't that door. Bears could be, but they are interested in McCoy.

                  Read the bold.

                  I'm sure he'd do real over all as a head coach. But he is a terrible play caller.

                  Am I missing something? Isn't Chuck Pagano still the Colts head coach? Is he not well enough to be able to coach next season? Last I heard he will coach the team in the playoffs.

                  I don't think the Colts will be looking for a new head coach unless they fear Chuck's health will turn for the worst.

                  EDIT: Nevermind, I think I'm seeing crap. Thought I say someone list the colts with a new head coach. It was O.Coord.

                    hes very good at building an offense that fits the strength of the players he has. you saw that with all the different Qbs hes had. But I think what people have problems with, like I did, was playcalling. Peyton would be on a roll passing the ball. Then out of nowhere 3 straight run plays, 3 and out. But I dont know if thats Fox or McCoy, since Fox is a big believer in running the ball so not sure who to fault.

                    And when Tebow was here a lot of us wanted to have a no huddle/hurry-up started in the beginning of the game since thats what seemed like the best way to get Tebow going like he does at the end of games. But noooo........RUN-RUN then its 3rd and long....PASS. 3 and out. But i guess its understandable with Tebow,

                      Would be HILARIOUS if the Bears were interested in interviewing McDaniels......haha

                        I do hope Del Rio stays with the Broncos. I just can't see him out of a head coaching job for too long. If the Card's don't promote from within, I'd love to see Reid end up in AZ. I know I've heard a lot of folks say Reid's going to San Diego. I like Reid, I'd hate to see him end up in San Diego, because I don't want him in our division. I do always root for my home team except for the rare occasion they are playing Denver, so wishful thinking for me that he ends up in AZ. In all honesty of all the coaches affected by black Monday, Reid, Smith, and Whisenhunt are the only ones I know much about....

                              That's why you get a good OC. If Lovie understood that he might still be the Bears HC.
