  • How Does Chip Kelly to the Browns Make Any Sense???

Now mods plz don't merge this cuz this is a much more specificly directed thread

But how does Chip Kelly going to the Browns make any sense??? How's he going to run his scheme with not only Weeden (likely out, I get that), but also Trent Richardson (not exactly a burner) at RB? That's what really puzzles me, is he going to trade both?

Because neither fits his fast scheme...I just don't see why he'd go there over say Buffalo ...?

I think Trent Richardson could perform well in his offense if they have enough speed around him to get to the edges. Obviously they need a fast QB to make it work though. Also he'll probably take Kenjon Barner who would be a tremendous compliment to Richardson and really they could both be on the field at the same time in his offense which would put a lot of pressure on defenses on how to defend the run.

^ yeah I see where you're going with that, n that makes sense but in no way could they use Richardson as the outside option runner

I agree the Bills might have been a better fit. CJ Spiller would be a superstar under Chip.

He may have wanted to stay out of the AFC East because I think he's good friends with the Hoodie.

Barner would be the motion guy that puts all the pressure on the defense.

Well idk but that would be dumb on his part if true...he should worry about his own success as a coach

And Spiller just plays at a different speed than most players on the field in the NFL, n that's extremely rare in the NFL, especially at RB (n also why most doubt his offense in the NFL)

He'd regain that asset right from college to the pros with Spiller n be able to run his offense just like he wants but the Browns just make absolutely no sense to me...none anywhere

did she have to take the dogs? No. You don't know Vick. Calling him a piece of garbage is lame. Sure, you and I think dogfighting is not the best thing out there. It also isn't the worst and is a common thing in the south, or so I hear. Here is some more on Vick...

                  Answer:
Yes he has. He donated $1M dollars to the Animal Hospital Foundation of America to help recover the dogs he hurt during his dogfighting program and as well as to help recover many other dogs involved in animal cruelty.

He also started his own charity called the Michael Vick foundation which donated thousands and thousands of backpacks and school supplies to the people in need.

On top of that, Michael is traveling all of the United States from school to school talking about how bad dogfighting is, how bad it could affect you if you did it, and he shares his inspirational story on how he got back on his feet after all that happened.

Michael Vick is a very caring and loving man, in my opinion, he made a big mistake, we all make mistakes but since he had a decent amount of money, Vick has been donating to hundreds of charities to help the needy out.

There is not an exact amount of total money he donated to charities but all together, experts think he donated a total of $31M dollars since his NFL career started in 2001. $31M dollars is quite a lot, he is a good guy. Many people think bad of him because of the dogfighting incident.

^ Well I hadn't heard of that but still

I don't know a single good soul who could possibly even watch that let alone organize it n help do the disgusting things they do to those dogs...

Seriously...do you know any good person who could do that? Especially FOR FUN! Not like he needed a way to survive

I mean I personally know people who do a lot of bad stuff that had told me stories about some people they knew that did it n even they couldn't stomach it...so how messed up do you gotta be to do that? What kind of soulless person does that?

So he donated a lot of money (likely not even mostly his own) n makes some trips to save face ...sorry but I just don't think anyone with a good soul could do that atrocious crap

N come on man, that lady did that out of the goodness of her heart cuz the dogs are good dogs they're just scarred emotionally...how u gna say that about her but defend Vick?

I think people are jumping to conclusions too early, certain that Chip Kelly will run a college spread offense in the NFL. Calm down and let's see what he will do with the Browns. I doubt Kelly will put a Tebow offense on the field. Maybe his goal is to have an uptempo shotgun offense like the Patriots. Kelly is in the NFL now, and he will have a pro playbook. What you saw from the Oregon Ducks was the kind of football that Kelly was able to teach to student-athletes, and in college it's much easier to overwhelm an opposing team with speed. In the NFL, I suspect Chip Kelly would take a great pocket passer over an option runner.

Well that's why I'm saying in the NFL, he could still do that with Spiller ...I hear you, I guess I figure (like many) he'll bring his offense to the NFL

Vick IS a piece of garbage.

Actually, he is a lot worse, I just can't say it here.

Also, I doubt Kelly runs the Oregon offense in Cleveland. He will probably use some things like a read option here and there, and even more so the no huddle- high tempo offense. But it will probably be a lot closer to an NFL offense than most think.
