Cowboys fired DC Rob Ryan.
Jets beat writer Brian Costello first broke the news. Perhaps he got the surprising scoop from someone close to Ryan's twin brother. Costello advises to forget about a Ryan Brothers reunion, as secondary coach Dennis Thurman has already been promoted to Jets defensive coordinator. Ryan's Dallas defense was among the league's stingiest early in the season before losing several key players to injuries.

They also said they wont be making any coaching or player decisions until they get a GM. Only sure thing is Rex will stay a Jet.

Rob probably got smart with Jerry. I'm willing to bet that Jerry figured he fixed the main problem, which was the secondary (signed Carr, drafted Claiborne) and when their defense still got torched, it all fell back on Rob.

Jason Garrett is an awful head coach, probably the worst in the NFL. Jerry Jones needs to step back also and just be the owner. He is the closest thing to Al Davis.

Pretty sure all the Cowboys needed to do was score a TD in there final drive against the Skins to win the Division, then Romo threw a terrible INT his 3rd of the game to seal their fate.
