While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

This is exactly what people do in cases like these, they reach. The crashing jet celebration was a joke on the team, not 9/11. The tweet about bombing the Patriots was a jab at a division rival, not some kind of pro-bombing America message. Come on, you really believe he would be that stupid to mock one of the most tragic events in American history and follow it up by asking another country to bomb us? Reaching, people love to do it more than anything else.

I've seen the Jeselnik offensive show before, it's pretty hilarious. I agree, nothings off limits in comedy. I wouldn't say I love anything offensive though, not if it's malicious. That and it has to actually have humor value like Jeselnik does, if it's just insults with no creativity value I think it's stupid.
Ever seen Jim Norton by the way? He's pretty good as well. His show is called Please Be Offended.

Go ahead and call me easily offended, and maybe I am, but when you try to be funny, be safe about it. People could reach for the 9/11 reference because of things like that, true. But you don't want them to do that. I gotta give him credit though, he did apologize about shooting himself in the leg.

Even if the bombings in Boston didn't happen, you don't say stupid stuff like that. I may be a Broncos fan who is a Raider hater, but I would NEVER pray for something to happen to that city and to their people, and I'm sure the Raider fans feel the same way about Denver.

First of all, North Korea is so inept they probably couldn't effectively bomb South Korea. Give the guy a break. No one would be saying "jack" about this if the Boston Marathon bombing didn't happen.
Dissapointing that he did, it's really stupid how players can't say anything these days. As for worrying about offending people, it's the free world. Ideas get put out all the time, and we all have to learn to live with it. You can't worry too much about whether what you say will be considered offensive or not. A comic for instance, will never become a great one if they don't step into offensive territory.
Some people get offended by everything, some fans will get their panties in a bunch if a player actually admits he has personal goals, instead of just saying "I only care about winning". You can't worry about upsetting people, largely because it's too easy.
You must think playing tag and dodgeball is bad too because kids might get their feelings hurt or that everyone should win a medal so they dont have bad self esteem. Tell me you have never said or done something that maybe you shouldn't have after thinking about it afterwards.
I don't know what that has to do with potentially offensive jokes, because that's a completely different subject. I joke around with people a lot. I do that on these boards too. But if I felt that I could be offending someone, I wouldn't say that certain thing. I want everyone to laugh and enjoy the joke.

If I make a joke and 9 out of 10 people find it funny and the 1 person gets all offended about it...He's the one with the issue not me and I could care less....Easily offended people must have a rough time getting all bent out of shape over nothing.
This, we live in a free society with freedom of speech. Those who get offended over nothing are going to just have a hard life, and that's all there is to it. If people were constantly afraid to offend people, we wouldn't have over half of the funny moments in television and movies. If your offended easily, you can just ignore whatever offends you.
He made a joke regarding the fact that playing in the AFC East would be a lot easier if the Patriots were wiped off the face of the earth. I've said worse jokes. It's only offensive in hindsight knowing what happened. But it's really not a big deal and I feel sorry for anybody who gets their panties in a bunch over a harmless lighthearted remark.

I think he's done this too many times. There was also a time after he scored a TD against the Jets he celebrated like he was an airplane and then fell to the ground and "crashed". To do that, ESPECIALLY in New York, is stupid.
