Who thinks Cutler is Jeff George.

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/mi...ed-romo-on-top

"4. Jay Cutler, QB, Chicago Bears: Cutler is 30 years old and was the 11th overall pick in the 2006 draft. In Denver and Chicago, he has had solid weapons around him and good backs. Yet despite a strong arm he has won a solitary playoff game. One. Cutler is Jeff George.

Chicago's offense has never been ranked higher than 23rd. Blame the previous coaching staff all you want but Cutler's passer rating was pedantic even after adding the explosive Brandon Marshall.

Again, Cutler has a huge arm and some mobility. That's good. But so did George"

He also lists Tebow as among the most overrated.

I agree with the Cutler comparison. I kinda agree with Tebow but how many truly rate him anyway ?

A few names on that list annoy me.

Suh, Rivers, Bryant and Andre Johnson are not over-rated.

So Suh had a couple of dirty plays, big deal, lineman are dirty sometimes. He has still produced at a pretty good level, although I agree needs to make a further step up next year.

Rivers is a good QB IMO, I just think he gets no help.

Dez Bryant had 1382 yards and 12 TD's last season. Over-rated ? What a joke.

AJ had 1598 yards. Only 4 TD's but they pounded a lot in once in the RZ. He never has anyone opposite him either.

Rogue you are definitely not alone.

This is one of the greatest comparisons I have seen. You have to say that Jeff George looks almost good by comparison.

I do not really understand that Tebow is on the list of the most overrated. He is currently an unsigned FA - how exactly can you be overrated in that kind of situation?

I think that Tebow is the anti-Cuddles, and that is not bad!

      There is some funny stuff out there;

We will see this year........For the first time since Cutler has been a Bear you have a GM willing to build his offense around Jay. In the last two years Emery has added WR's Marshall, and Jeffery, a solid RB in Bush, a TE who can actually block and catch the ball in M. Bennett, and three new OLinemen, first round pick OG Kyle Long, veteran OG Matt Slauson, and pro bowl LT Jermon Bushrod to go along with RB Matt Forte.

Cutler is in a contract year with a new HC. If he does not show this year, he will be gone in 2014. With a good OL in front of him, Forte behind him, and huge receivers to throw to, Marshall, Jeffery, and M. Bennett, I would expect Jay Cutler to have a huge year and earn his contract extension.

Rivers has had a ton of talent over the years. He's had: LT, Sproles, Gates, Vincent Jackson, Floyd, Meachem, etc. The rest I agree with

Yeah, if I were a head coach I wouldn't want that hooligan anywhere near my team.

His arm is good~ that's cool~ but his abilities to throw the ball to the right team and win aren't.

                We will see!

What I would love is for the Bears to draft Tebow as Jay's backup. Cutler to me has had so many excuses given by so many people that have fallen in love with his arm. Tebow is Cutlers polar opposite - careful with the ball, great teammate that makes the team better and a never say never attitude. He is the definition of grit and aside from his odd motion he performs when it matters.

When Cutler goes down with his injuries this year, we would see a total transformation of that team, and I don't think that Cutler could win the job back. That would be really fun to watch the tantrums Cutler would throw.

Tebow is not accurate enough to fit Trestman's offense. That and the fact no team in the league wants the Tebow circus to come to town.

No excuses at all this year...........He will make or not with Trestman as HC. You put the talent around Cutler and he has the skills to win, simple as that.

I think he'll get paid, but not like a $20 million dollar man.

If Cutler has a big year, the Bears will pay him the going rate and he will get Flacco/Romo kind of money.

I suppose it's possible, but Cutler has only had one year that good so far in his career.

Yep............The one year he actually had pass protection. Three new OL starters this year, I hope that is enough.

The problem with Cutler is that he did not evolve after losing Mike Shanahan. He's still the same QB he was in 2008. Extremely talented but erratic. He did not improve his mechanics and did not improve his decision-making. Too many coaches, too many systems. He still has to deal with diabetes, and we don't know how much it affects him.

This will be a big year for Cutty. They finally, finally, did something to improve that o-line. If they gel well there will be no more excuses. I still like the guy, when he throws the ball it is either magical or disastrous.
